Bill Clinton Arrives at White House for Obama Meeting

By Anne E. Kornblut
Former president Bill Clinton arrived at the White House late Tuesday afternoon for a meeting with President Obama -- potentially one of their most extensive meetings ever and one that could touch on a range of topics besides North Korea.

Clinton pulled into a White House driveway in a caravan of Chevy Suburbans shortly before 4 p.m., and ducked out of the backseat of one of the cars. Avoiding reporters, he went in a side entrance to the White House, where he is meeting with Obama for an hour in the Situation Room.

Clinton missed by several hours his wife, Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton, who had a separate meeting with the president earlier in the day. Instead, the State Department sent Cheryl Mills, a current adviser and longtime friend of the former president's.

State Department officials said the Secretary of State could not attend the meeting because of a conflict, a previously scheduled meeting with the foreign minister of Colombia.

"It's simply a matter of trying to juggle schedules," State Department spokesman Ian Kelly said.

Bill Clinton did a good deed in North Korea, but he's no John Ensign.

Time to shift Yobama's plan into high gear. Gore won't be far behind, And President Obama will have the two best Presidents ever promoting his agenda.

KBlit: Are you saying that only 13% of Americans support the rights for gay people to marry? Are you getting that from somewhere, or did you just make that up?

I think you're dreaming about the midterms given how crazy the right is going on healthcare, but I suppose stupider mud has stuck before *crosses fingers*

Your last three paragraphs are unnecessary.

Look over there, Barack, this is where I did that Monica Lewinsky girl. Hooeee, that girl was somethin, I'll tell ya.

Get out! That was the very place! Hee hee - you da man! Michele would never put up with that - she'd do a Loraine Bobbit weave on me for sure!

You gotta take charge of your women, Barack. Don't let them take thing too serious, ya know?

I dunno Bill. Michele has pretty much always called the shots in our family. Not everybody can be like you.

Yea - I understand. Tell ya what. I'll get Monica to come back. We'll have her over for a beer. Say it's about healthcare or somethin'.

Hee hee - you amazing, Bill. I'm down with it if you think we can get away with it.

Sure we can, Barack. Just one thing - you need to send Hilary back to Africa for a week or two...

I love it when the right wing goes on their tirade of name calling. It puts into print exactly how stupid and self centered they are.
Come on school yard bullies can't you come up with some original insults for our president. Show us how smart you really are.

Obama will discover as did Clinton, and California, that when it comes to gay issues that there are over 83% of Americans who are not gay and deeply resent the less than 13% who are trying to over turn legislation for the vast majority who oppose this stuff.
Mid-term elections are going to send a clear message and more than a few Democrats will joint the unemployment lines.

Slow news day - I guess Obozzo didn't fart or have to scratch his balls, otherwise you would have felt compelled to provide the details. When are you clowns going to stop allowing yourselves to be used by the head clown. Clinton meets Obysmal; so f-ing what.

HEY! Can you Obama haters please come up with something intelligent to say against the guy instead of always posting schoolyard insults. How simply childish!

Has anybody confirmed a report that the Obama Administration is actually underwriting the Brazilian oil giant Petrobras up to $10 billion to explore for offshore oil off the coast of Brazil??

This seems totally absurd to blow badly needed US funds to support a foreign company in its search for oil. Why not invest that money here in offshore oil exploration and production?? This smacks of the secretive way AIG bailout money ended up in the hands of giant foreign banks.

This is one of the rare times I wished I were a fly on the wall to listen to the banting between Clinton and Obama. It must have been so much interesting to Obama that he added another 30 minutes to the schedujaled discussion. There is no better political practitioner than Bill Clinton. Note that I only refer to his political prowess.

Those old days are gone for insider Journalist who Bush and Cheney used to spread the lies over the 8 years. Now Obama is smart to keep the press out. Clinton and Obama talked about North Korea visit and not one News Station or Newspaper knows what was said. If Obama did release a statement the Press would twist/spin/lie for the GOP like they do everything else.
