Is the Worst Over for Obama?

By Ben Pershing
It's increasingly possible that we will look back and see that August 2009 was this election cycle's height of Republicans' optimism over their political fortunes, and the depth of Democrats' despair.

By the time the midterm elections reach a fever pitch next year, President Obama may well have passed health-care reform, his signature domestic initiative, if not with overwhelming public support then at least with the backing of a solid majority of voters. The now common criticism that he hasn't accomplished anything will have been blunted. And while a high joblessness rate may persist, the narrative will have taken hold that the economy has either recovered or is well on its way.

The scenario above represents Democrats' best-case scenario, and no element of it is assured. But the new Washington Post-ABC News poll makes it appear a bit more likely. The survey found "that support for a government-run health-care plan to compete with private insurers has rebounded from its summertime lows and wins clear majority support from the public." While ratings for Obama's handling of health care and the overall reform plans remained roughly the same, the president has regained the support of some Independents. The Fix points out that the poll also contained bad news for Republicans, giving the party low marks for its ability to make good decisions and handing Democrats a 12-point lead on the generic Congressional ballot. (George Stephanopoulos' headline: "New Poll: Public Option Up ... GOP Down.")

Let us wait for the next elections...that will be the deciding factor on just how this administration's policies have been accepted by the American people! It won't be long now!

President Obama is a political strategist of no mean order. And his long range plans are in place to show what he would have accomplished in time for the 2010 elections.

In the meantime is greatest concern--should be the economy; when anyone is out of work, political interest sags. Going to the polls diminishes-- hope answers come to the unemployed soon-- and in the form of meaningful jobs. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AQCSrg9-QmE

Obama is inflicting scars on the Democrat Party that may never heal. He has revived the GOP from permanent exile and reconstituted the Reagan Democrats all at once. He is also pushing people into identifying themselves as conservative in ever bigger numbers. In the end he might prove to be the best thing that could have happened to us. He has awakened the great sleeping giant an it doesn't like the BS Obama, Reid and Pelosi are trying to force on us.

Geez that Wapo/ABC poll came along at just the right time. How did everyone miss this total turnaround of fortune for Democrats. How did Americans change their attitudes toward defecits, high unemployment and lack of direction in the span of two weeks. How did all of these other polls from reputable organizations miss all of this... a 12% lead Dems vs. Repubs means no loss of seats in the House in 2010, a gain in the Senate to almost 70 seats with even safe incumbent Repubs getting swept out, as if the local and state polls mean nothing. And most surprising of all, a groundswell of approval for the public option. How did we miss this?

Could it be that Wapo/ABC are lying manipulating pieces of garbage trying to seduce Americans into believing that EVERYTHING is not as it seems.

And remember, the stimulus bill was back loaded, with a lot of the spending occurring in early 2010.

All those fools worrying about Obama's long form should have been worrying about his long game.

Mr. President: "First, Do No Harm."

COVERT FED DEPLOYMENT OF MICROWAVE/LASER RADIATION 'DIRECTED ENERGY WEAPONS' AGAINST U.S. CITIZENS MAKES HEALTH CARE REFORM A CRUEL JOKE

Access to health care doesn't help untold thousands of unjustly targeted Americans damaged by the devastating physiological effects of being silently irradiated by microwave and laser radiation "directed energy weapons"...

...the weaponization of the electromagnetic spectrum, camouflaged as cell towers -- a silent "final solution" that may have the nation's political leadership in its ideologically-driven cross-hairs.

This technology is capable of altering moods, emotions, inducing fatigue, weakness, exhaustion, confusion, life-altering injury, disease and a slow-kill death.

And key elements of the Obama administration -- chief among them the defense/security/intel establishment -- are proliferating these technologies by various modalities -- reportedly, from hand-held weaponry to satellite and terrestrial cell tower based delivery systems.

American citizens and families targeted by this covert torture matrix also are subject to financial sabotage that decimates their livelihoods and financial resources...

...and relentless "community stalking" -- harassment, surreptitious home entries and vandalism by government-enabled vigilantes affiliated with federally-funded community policing and anti-terrorism organizations.

Warrantless, covert placement of GPS tracking devices and misuse of cell phone technology to hunt down the unjustly targeted enables this grassroots terrorism.

But the Obama administration continues to allow these warrantless intrusions into the lives of unjustly targeted American families.

PRESIDENT OBAMA: BAN the use of microwave/laser radiation directed energy weaponss against the American people (including experimentation); and

BAN the warrantless tracking of individuals via GPS or cellphone technology -- the electronic backbone of an American Gestapo now operating on YOUR watch.

The bureaucratic saboteurs and Dr. Strangeloves behind these multi-agency crimes against humanity and the Constitution must be removed from power, immediately, before this silent genocide claims more victims -- endangering democracy, making a mockery of the rule of law.

This is the result of the GOP's short-sighted politics of the summer. Sure, the explosive outrage of the tea parties and constant yelling by Republicans and their allies had a quick impact, but it was clear from the beginning that it wasn't sustainable.

Jobs, jobs, jobs will be the cry next fall followed by concerns over the deficit.

If President Obama cannot fulfill his promises to address both of these concerns the Democrats will pay a price.

This will occur even if Anita Dunn can marginalize the media again. Her claim that she controlled the press during the campaign last year is concerning and I hope that the media returns to reporting the news and not being cheer leaders for anyone.

Long from over... It might take a bit to show but George W's Reign of terror will be evident for decades to come... The expansion of government, the devaluing of the dollar, and the irresponsible spending will turn the US into a declining nation on the worlds stage. I'm hoping we start to see signs of this before it's too late, but I certainly don't want to see this great nation collapse during my lifetime, but if George W keeps spending/expanding government like he is it's going to get ugly, and fast....
