A Saturday night date with health reform

By Ben Pershing
Cancel those weekend plans: You've now got a date Saturday night with health-care reform.

The Senate measure faces a key procedural vote Saturday evening, and Harry Reid is still working to assemble the requisite 60 votes. Politico says Reid and fellow Democrats "projected confidence they could clear the first hurdle for health reform." The Washington Post writes that "a tepid assessment of the public insurance plan he crafted emerged as the latest potential obstacle" to passage. USA Today notes that the public option in the Senate bill "would cover less than 1.5% of the population," raising questions about how much impact the provision will actually have, positive or negative.

The New York Times says that Reid has essentially taken "ownership" of the Senate bill, which, if it eventually becomes law, "would be the biggest accomplishment of his career. Should the bill fall victim to the complex political, procedural and substantive fights raging around health care, it would be a stinging defeat for him, his president and his party -- all while he faces a tough re-election fight at home." Reid is courting moderates the old-fashioned way -- with cash. ABC News reports that the bill contains a provision, estimated to cost $100 million, that would boost Medicaid subsidies for "certain states recovering from a major disaster." Translation -- Louisiana, the home state of Mary Landrieu.

There will be no place for any of these Spendocrats who are destroying our Country to hide in the 2010 elections. This health care bill if passed in some form will ruin what is left of our Nation. The Country does not want this yet these nimrods keep plowing forward. Many will not be coming back to office in 2010. If we can take the House and Senate any bill passed can be undone.

We have seen the enemy and it is our government.

Who REALLY wrote the House and Senate bills? We know they were NOT written by our representatives. Our congressmen and senators have not even read them! They are just being manipulated, coerced and bribed into passing them.

It seems the basic bill was written before Obama was even elected. By whom? By people paid by George Soros and other U.S. enemies, who invested billions to get Obama elected?

Now the bill is just being tweaked to better manipulate people. The intent of the bill is just government control.

It’s interesting how this bill has striking similarities with the “URGENT,” “SAVE-THE-POOR” constitutions that Venezuelans, Bolivians, Ecuadorians were manipulated, coerced and bribed into approving, constitutions that have taken away people’s freedoms and rights, and that have multiplied poverty and despair.

We hope our representatives have the courage and integrity to defend us from the criminal Obamacare scam, which seeks to impose socialism/Marxism on us.

It makes no good sense for anyone to oppose healthcare reform. It seems some are more worried about Insurance companies being crowded out due to competition and lower costs than the Health of the people, some who will surely die. Some are more concerned for the bottomline of the Insurance Companies than the small businesses (who they Pretend to care about) who have to pay high premiums for their employees, forcing some out of business, some to offer no health insurance, or some to set up shop elsewhere other than the United States! Small businesses will not be forced to offer health insurance for their employees but employees will have the option to buy their own affordable healthcare from a public option! And why do we have so many kinds of crises in this country????

It is too bad that we have a certain group -- the Party of No and Fear -- who are Advocates of Can't, Won't, Shouldn't, Distortion, Fear, Hatred and Divisiveness. They are a dark group, a bitter group, concerned only for Corporate Greed and corporate Profit, who do not believe that government can work because they do not want it to work! For too long we have been spoon-fed a bunch of lies and fears by these powers who want to immobilize us, paralyze us and confuse us and to keep us circling the Yellow Brick Road! Again, why do we have so many crises in this country???

And, It is a sad fact that the Afghanistan War is also a false war and a false choice. These terrorists do not stay in one place or in one country, they are all over. We are not at war with any one country, this is a fallacy. WE are in a "struggle" with an ideology, yes or evil, yes, but we are not at war with any country. Since, we have terrorists in our own country who are not Muslims, does this make us at war with the United States?

OH, if we only had a Brain....., Courage....., Heart/LOVE!

You are right, mwhoke. With "fuzzy" (fraudulent) math, Obama and his accomplices are going to "save us money" and "reduce the federal deficit" by forcing us to swallow the Obamacare SCAM just like they are "creating jobs" by destroying businesses and jobs and increasing unemployment.

As part of the Obamacare SCAM, the Senate bill is meant to manipulate us into believing it will help us.

All thinking Americans realize, however, that Obamacare has NOTHING to do with helping us or improving anything. It is a criminal scam, a power grab that will destroy our health care, our economy, our freedoms and our country.

As expected, the Senate bill is "superior" to the house bill in that it contains more lies, more manipulation, more bribes at our expense, and more measures to harm Americans.

To get the House to pass the Obamacare scam, Obama and his accomplices lied, manipulated, intimidated, coerced and bribed (at our expense) Big Pharma, the AARP, the AMA, “Catholics” like Cao, insurance companies, etc.

To get the Senate to pass the scam, Obama and his accomplices have perfected the lies, the manipulation, and the intimidation. And they are bribing (at our expense) additional organizations and people like Mary Landrieu.

The intent of the bill is NOT to improve anything. It's just government control. Period.

Thew bottom line is that health care reform has now shifted from a possibility to an inevitability. Republicans lose every time reform legislation lurches forward, no matter how slow the progress is.

The Bottom Line is: will your bill Reduce
Costs? Will it directly Reduce my health insurance premium? If not, Democrats have Failed! If individual's and small business insurance premiums are not reduced, business will continue to go bankrupt and individuals will continue to foreclose on their homes because their healthcare premiums are so high.
I have a feeling Democrats Don't Get it....
All they talk about is "its a historic vote" Yeah, for the politicians.. but what about us taxpayers who are hanging on by a thread? One more increase in our premiums could be the straw that breaks the camel's back!

What Good Is Health Care Reform, When a...

* Thousands of Americans, deemed to be "dissidents" or undesirables, targeted by Bush legacy program for debilitating microwave/laser assault, held hostage in their own homes to fed-supported vigilante "community policing" stalking units, equipped with warrantless GPS devices, who vandalize and terrorize as local police look the other way.

* "Directed energy weapons," portable units and a nationwide installation employing cell towers and satellites, induce weakness, exhaustion, head and body aches, physical and neurological impairment, strokes, aneurysms, cancer -- and many victims do not realize what is making them sick.

* Regional Homeland Security- administered "fusion centers" reportedly serve as command centers for covert electromagnetic radiation attacks, pervasive surveillance, financial sabotage of those identified as "dissidents," "trouble-makers" or slandered as threats to society.

* Use of microwave weaponry to torture and impair political opponents recently confirmed by deposed Honduras President Manuel Zelaya.

* Pleas for justice, to local police and FBI, go unanswered -- as do demands for a Department of Justice Civil Rights Division investigation and congressional hearings.

"These are crimes against humanity and the Constitution, being perpetrated under the cover of national security and 'safe streets' by multiple federal and local agencies and commands -- an American genocide hiding in plain sight, enabled by the naivete of those who think 'it can't happen here.'" -- Victor Livingston, former reporter for WTXF-TV Philadelphia, Phila. I fear that the health care bill is based on the fuzzy accounting practices that politicians in Washington love but the rest of the world consider criminal.

I worry that the health care bill will force additional mandates on the States that will lead to higher taxes and more layoffs.

If the health care bill passes then higher taxes are a given but the so-called savings in Medicare by addressing waste, fraud and abuse will never materialize.

Because to address waste, fraud and abuse in Medicare requires action by the Congress and every lobbyist and special interest group in Washington will be passing out campaign contributions and the legislation will fail.

I believe that if health care passes the United States' economy will suffer for years and the deficit and the national debt will be worse than it is currently.
