It's interesting how everyone is claiming Obama is "doing nothing" or doing the wrong thing. It's hard to clean up the mess that Mr.Bush left behind. As for Sarah Palin if this country was dumb enough to elect Bush for two terms then anything is possible with Palin. If that doesn't work maybe a talk show host...she might be better at asking questions than answering them.

In any case, IQ is a dodgy enough concept even when measured by tests designed for the purpose — trying to guess not just relative rankings but specific IQ scores based solely on writings and speeches is bound to be error-prone -- based on President George H.W. Bush's extemporaneous speech-making, for example, he couldn't "speak with clarity" to save his life. And a recent article reports President Kennedy's IQ as "only" 119. Was JFK not an acceptable politician?

Why is it when a person using the computer to communicate thinks it is more effective to type some parts, or entirely, in all capitals letters?

Maybe Sarah's book will be the same way?

The fact of the matter, reading is easier when we follow the conventional system of writing.

Why would itscc721, boski66, JakeD and others make it harder to read what they write? Is it perhaps they don't care to engage in discussions and only care about pushing others out of the conversation?

And why is it mostly supporters of Palin that do this?

Why is it when an INTELLIGENT REPUBLICAN WOMAN SPEAKS HER MIND, SHES THE DEVIL. WHY DO YOU FEAR HER? SEEMS all you LIBERAL DEMOCRATS would ENJOY the FRESHNESS OF A POLITICIAN that DOESN'T SPEAK OUT OF TWO SIDES OF HER MOUTH, OR STAND IN FRON TO THE CAMERA AND GO , AHH, UMM, DUH, ... Go ahead say all you want to say BAD about SARAH, at eleast she is not afraid to admit she screwed up. YOU WILL NEVER HEAR THAT OUT OF OBAMA'S MOUTH or ANYONE ELSE IN HIS BUNCH OF LYING, SNEAKING BUDDIES...

Many Republicans have college degrees. Also, were you shocked with a cattle prod when Bush43 was in office? Reagan? The Chicken Little "Sky is falling" routine is growing thin.

Posted by: JakeD | November 13, 2009 8:35 PM | Report abuse

JakeD-
You're right. We will be shocked.....with cattle prods. Throw away the constitution, wrap yourself in the flag, and call it patriotism. Hooray for "real American's", like the under-educated white majority of Alaska.
Speaking of which, there would be virtually no republicans in office in America if a college degree were a requirement to vote.

SHE IS SMART, INTELLIGENT AND BEAUTIFUL
WHO COULD ASK FOR ANY MORE
OH, YES SHE IS KIND, ROMANTIC AND LOVE HER
FAMILY AND HER COUNTRY.

I MUST SAY A BREATH OF FRESH AIR
FAR AWAY FROM THOSE DEVIOUS LIBERALS

Can't we just let all this go by like so many of Britney's come back attempts? Sigh. Rupert would deserve this.

It would be interesting to hear how those that post comments will be screaming when we have to buy Buick's instead of Toyota's.
This will follow if we allow the current representatives to muck with our liberties and force US citizens to purchase a product even if they don't want, or need what is "offered". Mandated products are going to be on every corner unless someone starts voicing a concern. I'm not the first. Just remember, we are not smart enough to know what is best for ourselves. And hey, I'm one of the elite by most standards.

I wonder when her first open press conference will be ... not holding my breath. But it should be interesting to find out who her handlers are. I mean, the woman probably can't dress herself alone.

And I like the point about Murdoch. He's also given Huckabee a show on Fox. I wonder if he is working to destroy the republican party to create a permanent Democratic majority in Washington. I see no other explanation.

Legally, if Obama is not a natural-born citizen, then Biden is Acting President. Good thing that Biden is not signing all legislation (just in case ; )

So far, it's just been servicemen and women who are fighting illegal deployment orders (but DoD is simply revoking their orders to prevent those lawsuits from proceeding). If Obamacare passes, I suspect anyone fined / jailed for failing to obtain acceptable insurance will bring it up as a defense. Until we can get the Dems out of Congress, I doubt there's much more we can do.

Who cares if she doesn't have a brain in her head. She's hot! Obama got elected for being cool. Sarah should get elected for being hot. After all, we love celebrities in this country. Obama is one and so is Sarah. It's only fair that next time it's her turn!

Got a hold (for free) Palin's book...it was horrible.I keep thinking of Andrew Sullivan's
article, "The Odd Lies Of Sarah Palin: A Round-Up"...interesting article. It actually list the lies told by Palin. (there were many) It was thorough and an assessment made by fact check(s)...

Palin is GREAT at telling lies..not tall tails but out and out LIES.......

Is anyone aware that Palin's publisher is OWNED by Rupert Murdoch? Her book tour is actually a campaign tour paid for by the FOREIGNER (recent citizen) Rupert Murdoch of the FOX stations. They have a bus with her picture on it for the tour. Beware people; she's attempting to run for something....Also, look where her book tour will take her; Redneckville (battle ground states)or those who are same thinking...

Murdoch IS buying the presidency for palin ...BEWARE America...Murdoch is on the move... Many in this country are foolish enough to fall for this....

Still loving this Country

What do you think she "lied" about Thanksgiving dinner with Levi? She said "of course" he would be welcome, so you need to PROVE that is a lie.

Posted by: JakeD | November 12, 2009 7:23 PM | Report abuse

This woman is perfect for the Republican party - she's a born liar. You can so easily tell when she talks about Levi Johnston possibly attending Thanksgiving dinner. You KNOW she hates that guy with a passion, she just doesn't want to say it, and she's already fooled a portion of the American people. Why did she step down as Governor of Alaska? To have time to write this ridiculous book and gallavant across the country? Doesn't she have children to take care of?! PLEASE MAKE THIS WOMAN GO AWAY!!!

The economy is screwed regardless of whether her book was selling at $9 or $29.

JakeD, once again you missed the point.

_I said_

No wonder the economy is screwed.

I still think, if she wants to run, the GOP nomination is hers. I can certainly understand her not wanting to run though.

Selling well at $9 - down from the list of $29.

No wonder the economy is screwed.

The 413-page book with 16 pages of color photos but no index comes out Tuesday, Nov. 17. "Going Rogue," with a first printing of 1.5 million copies, has been at or near the top of Amazon.com and other best-seller lists for weeks, ever since publisher HarperCollins announced that the book had been completed quickly and the release date was being moved up from next spring.

The book follows Palin from childhood to her departure last summer as Alaska governor. It includes much of what her admirers, and detractors, expected: tributes to family and faith and patriotism, and attacks against the media and other opponents.

Good excerpt of the book in the AP story -- looking forward to reading it Tuesday -- still time to pre-order:
