With timing uncertain, focus shifts to Senate

By Ben Pershing
Believe it or not, that was the easy part.

Proponents of health-care reform got their chance to take a brief breath and celebrate Sunday, after a sweeping bill passed the House Saturday night. Now it's on to the next, likely much harder step. So when will the Senate get its work done? In a Rose Garden appearance Sunday, President Obama urged the chamber to ""take up the baton and bring this effort to the finish line." Harry Reid can't pick up any batons until he gets a score for his bill back from the Congressional Budget Office, likely later this week. "The delay could push Senate consideration of the bill until after Thanksgiving, which could in turn make it very difficult for Congress to meet Mr. Obama's goal of signing a health bill into law by the end of this year," the New York Times writes.

Since Reid said he would include the public option in his bill, Politico reports, "Senate action on health care has stopped dead, raising the possibility the Senate won't even begin floor debate until after Thanksgiving. Reid said he's confident the Senate will pass health reform legislation but left open the chance the final bill could slip until early next year." The Washington Times writes that Senate Republicans "vowed to kill the [House] measure unless it is radically altered," as though the Senate was just going to put the House bill up for a vote. The Associated Press offers this similarly misleading headline: "House health care bill has nowhere to go in Senate."

Now I read that Obama is considering change in the abortion amendment passed by the House. I wonder: how many more lies will Obama have to tell before people stop beleiving him? And I don't mean the ordinary thinking folks - I am referring to the liberal writers in our media.

Would someone explain to me why I have to pay for avoidable abortion? Not a matter of right to abort, but taking more of my hard earned money away? And if you believe another of Obama's lies, no taxes, think again: we will be taxed so much that there will be no money left for your elective procedures.

TO: "JakeD" at 12:44 p.m.

I know you are being facetious, but it's true:

In an America where the rule of law has broken down at the hands of a federal-local Gestapo that has deployed a nationwide cell tower microwave/laser/satellite network to physically degrade the health and functioning of "targeted" American citizens, health care reform is quite beside the point.

The health care delivery system has been thoroughly infiltrated by this multi-agency coordinated action "program" -- and the health care of "targets" is compromised -- to put it mildly.

The first priority of the Obama administration should have been the restoration of civil and human rights in America. And I am concerned that the President himself, along with the Vice President, may be a victim of this silent, classified, hi-tech torture matrix.

Evil in America is being enabled by the naivete and hubris of our political leadership in administration, Congress -- and among my malleable media colleagues.

Interesting how the media can spin a major victory for the president into some awful portent of doom for his presidency and the Democrats...

I agree with "scrivener50" that debilitating microwave/laser assaults, American citizens held hostage in their own homes to fed-supported vigilante "community policing" stalking units, equipped with warrantless GPS devices, who vandalize and terrorize as local police look the other way, should be addressed BEFORE Obamacare is passed by the Senate.

far too qualified for the job.
The foreman frowned and said, "I have to ask you this; "Have you
had any actual experience in picking lemons?"
"Well, as a matter of fact, I have!" she replied. "I've been

Well, at this juncture a giant first step has been accomplished in the House. Now the Senate prepares to handle the second stage. This is crunch time for the Democrats... performance time. What will it be? With fingers crossed we are watching Harry Reid..as he takes charge; hopefully he/ the democrats emerge as a winners.
But here's a message to the Senate http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MxwMckT3GbA

Congress, Team Obama: "First, Do No Harm."

SECRET MULTI-AGENCY FED PROGRAM SILENTLY TORTURES, IMPAIRS, PERSECUTES U.S. CITIZENS WITH MICROWAVE/LASER RADIATION AND LOCAL VIGILANTISM, SAYS MAINSTREAM JOURNALIST

* Thousands of Americans, deemed to be "dissidents" or undesirables, targeted by Bush legacy program for debilitating microwave/laser assault, held hostage in their own homes to fed-supported vigilante "community policing" stalking units, equipped with warrantless GPS devices, who vandalize and terrorize as local police look the other way.

* "Directed energy weapons," portable units and a nationwide installation employing cell towers and satellites, induce weakness, exhaustion, head and body aches, physical and neurological impairment, strokes, aneurysms, cancer -- and many victims do not realize what is making them sick.

* Regional Homeland Security- administered "fusion centers" reportedly serve as command centers for covert electromagnetic radiation attacks, pervasive surveillance, financial sabotage of those identified as "dissidents," "trouble-makers" or slandered as threats to society.

* Use of microwave weaponry to torture and impair political opponents recently confirmed by deposed Honduras President Manuel Zelaya.

* Pleas for justice, to local police and FBI, go unanswered -- as do demands for a Department of Justice Civil Rights Division investigation and congressional hearings.

"These are crimes against humanity and the Constitution, being perpetrated under the cover of national security and 'safe streets' by multiple federal and local agencies and commands -- an American genocide hiding in plain sight, enabled by the naivete of those who think 'it can't happen here.'" -- Victor Livingston, former reporter for WTXF-TV Philadelphia, Phila. Bulletin, N.Y. Daily News, St. Petersburg Times; producer/host, MSG Network Sports Business Report; columnist, NowPublic.com/scrivener.

I would hope that Speaker Pelosi follows up on her health care bill by introducing legislation that will document how she is going to eliminate 500 billion dollars in waste, fraud and abuse in Medicare.

It is very important for her to demonstrate to the American people that her health care legislation is paid for!
