New date for Obama at Copenhagen climate talks

By Juliet Eilperin
President Obama has changed when he will attend international talks in Copenhagen in December, the White House announced Friday, on the grounds that there is a chance of a meaningful deal being struck now that both China and India have identified near-term climate goals.

Obama had planned to stop in Copenhagen on Wednesday, on his way over to Oslo to receive the Nobel Peace Prize. The president will now travel to Copenhagen on Dec. 18, during the critical time when more than 80 heads of government will convene to fashion a political agreement on curbing the world's greenhouse gas emissions. India announced Thursday it will improve the energy efficiency of its economy between now and 2020; China outlined its own climate target a week earlier.

"After months of diplomatic activity, there is progress being made towards a meaningful Copenhagen accord in which all countries pledge to take action against the global threat of climate change," White House spokesman Robert Gibbs announced Friday afternoon. "Based on his conversations with other leaders and the progress that has already been made to give momentum to negotiations, the President believes that continued US leadership can be most productive through his participation at the end of the Copenhagen conference on December 18th rather than on December 9th. There are still outstanding issues that must be negotiated for an agreement to be reached, but this decision reflects the President's commitment to doing all that he can to pursue a positive outcome."

After spending billions brainwashing us, Obama and his accomplices are not ready to give up their SCAM. The Copenhagen summit is another despicable attempt to use the AGW hoax to perpetrate a monstrous CRIME against the U.S. and humanity.

As Christopher Monckton wrote, “the world's governing class” will “meet in Copenhagen, Denmark, to discuss a treaty to inflict an unelected and tyrannical global government on us, with vast and unprecedented powers to control all once-free world markets and to tax and regulate the world's wealthier nations for its own enrichment: in short, to bring freedom, democracy, and prosperity to an instant end worldwide, at the stroke of a pen, on the pretext of addressing what is now known to be the non-problem of manmade "global warming".

It’s our duty to defend our country – and our children and grandchildren -- from the Obamacare and cap and trade SCAMS, which seek to destroy our country and enslave us while further empowering and enriching Obama and his fraudulent billionaire friends.

You can start by sacrificing all of your worldly possessions to supporters of Obama.

2009 255-page U.S. Senate Minority Report

The new 2009 255-page U.S. Senate Minority Report -- updated from 2007’s
groundbreaking report of over 400 scientists who voiced skepticism about the so-called global warming “consensus” -- features the skeptical voices of over 700 prominent international scientists, including many current and former UN IPCC scientists, who have now turned against the UN IPCC.

This updated report includes an additional 300 (and growing) scientists and climate researchers since the initial release in December 2007.

The over 700 dissenting scientists are more than 13 times the number of UN scientists (52) who authored the media-hyped IPCC 2007 Summary for Policymakers.

These people are using this hoax to control the people and make big money like Al Gore is already doing. Wake up people...

I am not surprised that the whole Climategate issue is just being swept under the rug....

That being said.... If the proof exposed for the world to see (the hacked emails) does not at the very least, postpone Copenhagen.....Then I would have to say that Obama and his people have their own agenda and the American citizens are nothing more than "Inconvenient pests in the way!!"

Obama's promise of a transparent government was nothing but a line....a line to get him elected.
I sure hope those writing that are fed up with Washington....start researching the possible future candidates... America can not survive much longer with those (ALL OF THEM) in Washington today! Just because "The People" were promised change....does not mean we will ever get it.

Disregarding the information contained in the hacked emails not only exposed the lies of our scientists, but the lies of our POLITICIANS!
I will spend the next couple of years spreading the truth to those who have their rose colored blinders still on...... Time for ALL people to WAKE UP and show Washington....Just exactly who THEIR boss is!!!!! "WE THE PEOPLE." (GBA)

I am shocked by the anti-American bashing by some of my fellow conservatives. Ronald Reagan would be ashamed of you. So would millions of real Conservatives who have fought and died for this country. Attacking the President gives aid and comfort to our enemies when our troops are in the field. Debate policy with facts but also respect and honor. You are Americans. Act like it.

World leaders are moving quick now to sieze what power over their subjects they can while GW is being proven to be a false religion. 10, 20, 50 and more year commitments to exchange the wealth of nations for Carbon Credits (a commodity made up out of thin air). That's 10, 20, 50 or more years of guaranteed power arrured to those who play ball. Want to egage in commerce, start a business, buy a home, feed your family- you will need Carbon Credits- The new world currency that looks (I hate to say it) a lot like the mark of the beast.

You notice how quickly desperate the AGWs are to get an 'investigation' going and get it resolved? They want to smooth it over before the big to do in Copenhagen so they can say it's been addressed, resolved and there is no problem. Then they can SCREW the developed countries especially the US and OBAMA will OK it.

Comrade Obama ought to step back and demand a full review of the so-called "science" of global warming. Even absent the recently exposed global warming fraud-science, any endeavor that pivots on existing data is fraught with serious problems associated with all data-mining efforts. This is most easily explained as testing repeated investigative hypotheses against an existing database in an effort to find something compelling -- followed by misusing probability-based Statistics to make it seem as if there is something where there is nothing. (As a scientist who knows statistics, I'm stunned at how many of my colleagues don't know this. Only when one terms it "cherry-picking" does it start to sink in.)

Combine this serious shortcoming with the widespread distorting of science as a result of "publication bias" (preferential publication of that which is compelling) -- widely known to be EVERYWHERE in science publications (easily verified BTW) -- and we get garbage as a result.

No surprise that the climate science cabal's data-mined conclusions ran into problems when they started collecting contemporary data on a prospective basis within recent decades. IOW

So the penultimate lesson I offer here is that trusting scientists with ethical issues that surround their work is not only foolish but stupid. (Embryonic stem cells anyone? Cold fusion for supper perhaps?)

Finally, being highly educated doesn't assure being ethical...! Is this so hard to understand? Just look at DC...!

Carbon Taxation as a political motive is enough to distort reality to me. Grants must be given to study something so why not study the end of the world through global warming, scary dudes and dudettes, scary. Am not in this argument as my Professors of Meteorolgy and Geology taught me that Earth has been going through major and minor climate changes for millions of years. I am betting that mother nature will protect life on our planet.
I am however, all for reducing dependence on Fossil Fuels. Would be nice if future generations of Americans will not be obsessed with our vital interests abroad causing deviants to invent wmds possessed by soveriegn land owners. Hey, Alaska has oil and natural gas therefore, "Sarah Palin is an evil dictator possessing weapons of mass destruction". Oops, too late, she resigned as Governor of Alaska.
The world knows that fossil fuels are a limited natural resource. The experts, OPEC, have stated supply won't match demand for another 40 years but what about conservation ? We waste fuel, period. I see nothing wrong with the pursuit of Happiness (rarely or ever mentioned by George W. Bush) which is the antidote to oppression. We were in fact squeezed by fuel costs due to the instability producing thinktanks or warmongerers for profit that advised instability of government impedes fossil fuel development, imagine that. Give the customer what the customer wants to hear.

Could we diversify the fuels of our pursuits today without getting too greedy ? Or should we put all of our eggs in one basket, say black gold ? Those having some kind of sense are looking into the future allotting research and development funds for the cause. Will the shareholders complain, that reduces dividends. Or will we again lose our collective foresight causing a boom to bust oil cycle about every 20 years ? And will Detroit ignore changing markets opting for bailouts rather than retooling ? And that is why I am not going to enter into the global warming debate. We can hope that global security, peace and stability will be achieved by elimination of one force of tresspassing which is a dependence on something we don't have for ourselves. Lest we kick the habit, the addiction will cause us to rape and pillage again and again.

You do realize that all of the green initiative is being paid for with taxpayer money right, or as the greenies like to call it "free money"? Once that is cut off, as it has to be, the so called green initiative will turn brown and excrete methane. That money or tax credits could be used to create real jobs instead of this pucky.

If you want to see how great it is for the economy do some reading on Spain and California and be glad this steaming pile has not yet been inflicted on your State yet.
I don't see any evidence that green products and innovation are destroying the economy. Quite the opposite...greener cars may yet save the Big 3 and wind power is already cheaper than fossil fuel in some areas of the US. So tell me what is so painful about this?

Obama can go and promise all he wants. He can deliver bupkis. No bill has passed the Congress and any International Treaty will require a 2/3 vote of the Senate to ratify. What does that leave Obuma? He can continue to try and back-door this through the EPA, but now that the hoax has been revealed that is also in doubt. Further, after the beating the Democrats are going to get in the 2010 elections they will not have the votes to continue to drive the Country into the poor house.

Simply put, can't we agree that we all want clean air to breathe? Sure, there are still people who support segregation and think women shouldn't be able to vote. This country came together, took a stand and we are better off. We have an opportunity to take a stand on climate change, innovate and prosper or stick our head in the sand and let oil prices dictate our lives. I'll take the former, thank you.

I don't see any evidence that green products and innovation are destroying the economy. Quite the opposite...greener cars may yet save the Big 3 and wind power is already cheaper than fossil fuel in some areas of the US. So tell me what is so painful about this?

One wonders whether the President of the United States is aware that professors of the University of Anglia have been discovered to be FABRICATIng statistics to support Al Gore's view of global warming.

Perhaps he listens too much to Al Gore.
Al Gore is about as great an authority on global warming as he was as a candidate for president.

Al Gore says that polar bears are an endangered species.
Reality: Polar bears are increasing in number.

Al Gore says that the center of the earth is "millions of degrees hot".
Reality: the core of the earth is some five thousand degrees celsius hot.

Al Gore made a movie expanding on his views of man-made global warming.
Reality: A British judge refused to allow it to be shown in schools in the UK because it was riddled with errors.

Al Gore is making a fortune out of his scare mongering.
Now that's reality.

So, if climate scientists are wrong, what's the worst outcome? That we will have made our economies more energy efficient and moved from dependence on imported fossil fuels to the use of clean energy. Sounds good to me. If all you denialists are wrong? Well, let's see: rising sea levels, more frequent & intense storms, longer & more intense droughts, disruption of water supplies, changes in agricultural output, and millions of environmental refugees fostering untold social, economic, & political chaos. You guys really willing to trade that risk for the "risk" of a more efficient, cleaner economy? If so, then YOU are the fools and idiots. And you better tell all those rapidly melting glaciers and polar ice caps that they missed the "hoax" memo.

I just looked at the Copenhagen Post on line and found no mention of a supposedly climate scandal in Denmark. Could this just be another red herring put out by vested interests?
I am not a scientist and find the conflicting 'evidence' eminating from both sides confusing BUT my logic tells me that all the pollution I have seen in major cities around the world cannot possible be doing our planet any good. What happens when very Chinese, Indian, and African consume even half as much as we do in the West using fossil fuels and deforestation as power sources to drive rheir economies?
Will that not increase pollution to unsustainable levels?

Oh No! Another climate scam scandal, this time in Denmark

Washington Examiner

12/04/09 8:22 AM EST

November was a horrendous month for global warming propagandists, what with somebody hacking into the computers of East Anglia University's Central Research Union (CRU) and exposing thousands of emails detailing how climate change data had been systematically cooked.

Now it looks like December could be another bad month because the Copenhagen Post Online brings word of an exploding scandal in the Scandanavian nation involving massive fraud in the trading of the Danish CO2 Quotas Register. That's Denmark's cap-and-trade system in which companies buy and sell carbon emissions credits.

The Obama-Waxman-Markey and Boxer-Kerry global warming cap-and-trade bills now before Congress are modeled in part on the Danish CO2 Quotas Register. But things don't look good for the Danish climate change initiative, according to the Copenhagen Post Online:

So-called climate scientists are fixing the data and attempting to silence critics while taking big money under the guise of "saving the planet".

Environmental extremists (EE) have choked the life out of the economy such as California's economy. They cannot build power plants or refineries, they cannot drill on-shore or off-shore, they outlaw popular consumer products because they are not "green" enough. All of this has resulted in a loss of much needed jobs.

The EEs want to dictate how to live your life because they have to crusade for something and find meaning for their lives. They will only get satisfaction by dictating the terms on how you live your life.

The EEs are destroying this economy by pushing for meaningless restrictions on carbon emissions which will have little or no impact on the global climate. They are pushing for economic ruin just to "save the planet".

Their push to "save the planet" is forcing people to joblessness, excessive costs for all goods including heating their homes during this global cooling trend, and threatening the careers and lives of hard-working people working in many industries.

This may be the biggest scandal in not only American history, but also global history.

Climategate, in regards to Barack Obama, has the potential of being the equivalent of George Bush's Weapons of Mass destruction; with the exception that Mr. Obama currently has a golden opportunity to lead the world by refusing to participate in Copenhagen pending the outcome of a thorough investigation into the situation.

The liberal idiots who bought into the scam of global warming have been hit between the eyes and are still standing. Perhaps a dagger to the heart will do the trick.

When TRILLIONS of dollars are in the balance of this hoax, I cannot imagine how anyone can go along with it. As if we haven't had enough redistribution of wealth by the Obama thuggery, now a treaty from Copenhagen will make sure the the United States will be totally bankrupt.

The treaty is not about global warming and never was, it's about MONEY on a larger than GRAND scale. Twenty years ago this same group warned us about the ICE AGE that's coming. So is it going to be HOT or COLD?

There are over 30,000 scientists who do not and did not agree with the IPCC on global warming. In fact these same scientists are suing Al Gore, the miserable son of a *itch, for the inaccurate data in his book. These are the same scientists that have been purposefully left out of the loop by the lying scientists in charge.

Pox on the East Anglia scientists, the UN who funded them and the people in Copenhagen who care nothing about global warming. They only care about the money.

Wake up all you misinformed idiots and take a gander at the fraud that is about to be perpetrated on the People of America.

Obama is like a 5-year old who sticks his fingers in his (big) ears and yells "La, la, la, la, I can't hear you" to block out what he doesn't want to hear. The scandal builds around Climategate and what does Obama do? He decides to go to the final Copenhagen talks so he can commit us to that's being called into question. I seriously think he needs to be impeached.

This paper and this administration's blind eye is astonishing. There have always been many reputable climatologists that have doubted the global warming alarmists. Now that many of the leading global warming scientists are clearly frauds, I would expect even the most ardent supporters to have some doubts. Incredibly, this newspaper and this administration are unwavering in their support of global warming alarmism. You would think both would be open to a frank discussion with the reasonable scientists that have long held doubts about CO2 and the greenhouse theory.

Truth will eventually win. The ugly ties between power - mongering aristocats, global warming frauds, and big business speculators salivating at the money they can make with "cap and trade" are just waiting to be exposed. This really is an obscene scandal, with major media being major criminal accomplices.

Climategate Investigator Is Member Of Vehemently Pro-Man Made Global Warming Organization

Friday, December 4, 2009

A civil servant who is a member of one of the most vehemently pro man-made global warming advocacy organizations in Europe which also has direct ties to the IPCC has been handed the job of whitewashing the investigation into the University of East Anglia, while absurdly billing himself as impartial and unconnected to climate science.

Meanwhile, the UN Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change has ludicrously announced that it will conduct its own investigation into the climategate scandal, despite the fact that the suspects involved have intimate ties to the IPCC, with one of the primary scientists accused of manipulating climate data being a lead author of the 1995, 2001, and 2007 IPCC reports...

Good -- another example of a world leader thinking on his feet and comfortable with adjusting to new situations or clarified data. He continues to bring honor to the Office of President - and fulfills his promise as an intelligent and thoughtful President. I especially enjoy watching him ignore the drooling, knuckle-draggers who persist in their childish denial of anything scientific. Dodos - everyone.

Happily, the more they rave on in denial of the obvious body of scientific evidence, the more they marginize their political impact and/or utility in an honest discussion of alternatives. These "earth-is-flat" dopes are ready to believe in UFO's and "big foot" but cannot get their brains around the melting polar ice and rapidly shrinking glaciers the world over.

I hope they keep up the silly blather in face of the mountain of evidence we must confront --- as that posture will hasten their collective extinction - just like the dodo birds.
