Cries of 'USA, USA' greet rescue of Haitian earthquake victim by Los Angeles team
Updated 7:42 p.m.
The White House press office took the unusual step of sending reporters a video from Haiti Tuesday afternoon.
"AMAZING VIDEO: Crowd starts chanting USA, USA during L.A. County USAR rescue," the office wrote in the brief e-mail.
The video shows an L.A. County urban search and rescue (USAR) team pulling a woman from a collapsed building. It was shot by USA Task Force 2, LA County, on January 17 in Port-au-Prince, near the palace.
Other videos of the team at work in Haiti can be seen here and here. All three were posted by the Haiti Joint Information Center on the HaitiJIC YouTube channel.
