Obama takes part in day of service to honor Dr.King

By Michael A. Fletcher
President Obama and top officials in his administration fanned out across the nation's capital Monday to take part in community service projects to honor the legacy of slain civil rights leader Martin Luther King Jr.

Obama, first lady Michelle Obama, their children and Marian Robinson, Michelle Obama's mother, served heaping paper plates of chicken and potato salad to 150 people at So Others Might Eat, a social services organization in Northwest Washington. Obama also mingled with the guests, shaking hands.

"Dr. King dedicated his life to advancing social justice and equal opportunity for all," Obama said in a statement. "But more than 40 years after his death, there is still much work left to be done. Through service, we honor his legacy by helping our neighbors, strengthening our communities and meeting the challenges we fact together."

The appearance at So Others Might Eat was the first of several activities Obama had scheduled in observance of the federal holiday honoring King.

Later, Obama was slated to host a discussion about the civil rights movement with a group of African American seniors and their grandchildren at the White House. Monday evening, he was to deliver remarks at a Kennedy Center concert.

Members of his Cabinet were replicating the president's efforts. Among them: Treasury Secretary Tim Geithner prepared food for area shelters at the Washington Hebrew Congregation; Attorney General Eric Holder helped feed people at the Church of the Epiphany; Interior Secretary Ken Salazar, worked on a clean-up and beautification project at the DC War Memorial on the National Mall; and Education Secretary Arne Duncan took part in an effort to paint at Ron Brown Middle School.

The pervasive surveillance, community watch vigilante terrorism, slander, financial sabotage -- and physical torture and impairment of THOUSANDS of unconstitutionally "targeted" Americans continues. And the Obama administration now is fully aware -- and complicit in Bush-legacy programs of ideologically-driven personal destruction.

Obama and MLK are as different as night and day. MLK was a Godly man and a follower of Jesus Christ. MLK would NEVER have supported "gay marriage". He considered it an abomination. Listen to Obama promise to repeal DOMA and legalize "gay marriage" in all 50 states (specifically 17:30 into the clip) over the expressed opposition of the majority of Americans:

Furthermore, MLK would be appalled that the NAACP has sold out to the homosexual agenda.

The al Qaeda aim is to spread fear among the do-nothings because they know that the do-nothing leaders like Dick Cheney are yellow cowards who blame their fear and cowardice on the American Commander in Chief whenever the al Qaeda boogeyman raises his head.

The do-nothings are obsessed with their fear of the al Qaeda and they will never say a cross word against the al Qaeda terrorist cult. The do-nothings hate the President and want the President to make their fear and their yellow streaks to go away.

Dr King was very successful in using nonviolence to bulldoze hate-filled white supremacists and to bring about a more level playing field in America. Many bigots hate the fact that they have to compete on an level playing field with the rest of society in America.

Oh, and you're damn lucky he was stopped from privatizing social security...he and his fellow republicans would have loved to have gotten their hands on everybody's retirement. Although, a lot was stolen by corporate bigwigs....buncha thieves...

You republicans are so full of hate and racism that you keep blaming O'Bama for spending your money and killing your jobs. You're too stupid to realize that good ole boy George W is the one that did both. But keep playing the blame game. At least you're predictable...

Martin Luther King, Junior was a great Republican and we appreciated having him in the party. All these haters here must be Democrats that keep the black people dumbed down with the plantation mentality.
Stop the stupidy and and join in the Party that set you free......the Republican Party.

A Great Person I’m doing a study on him and I luvvvvvvvvv him that’s why I picked him. Martin Luther King was one of the worlds beautiful human beings, a Soul who lived for a purpose…sadly he was assassinated and taken from us too soon. But I’m not so sure that Barack Obama becoming president was exactly what the “King” had in mind… This was a great incite in to the great man though…

Watch out Obama! Republicans start foaming at the mouth whenever they witness acts of kindness! Everytime you help a poor person, it's like driving a dagger into the bloated belly of a tea-bagging phony Christian "conservative".
Hey, that's a pretty strong incentive! I need to find some poor people to help!

I would like the media to investigate how Rev. King became a Democrat.
I heard he was in jail and it was brokered by his wife, before his release.
A Kennedy, no less.
This is worthy of HBO.

A Predictive Profile of Obama in 2010

Obama's Presidency is at a minimum in disarray, more realistically in free fall FAILURE.

When a Republican even has a CHANCE in Massachusetts-- the verdict is in on the Obama Administration.

Team Obama is being voted off the island by angry Americans fed up with the stimulus waste, cap and trade, obama's incessant asinine attacks on capitalism as he kills jobs, obamacare and most importantly 10% unemployment.

A failed embittered Presidency can be extremely dangerous--
so a profile of Obama's like FUTURE actions is critical.

In his monumental work "Hitler and Stalin" Alan Bullock notes both Hitler and Stalin were narcissists. ProCounsel is NOT stating Obama is either Hitler or Stalin. But his analysis, written long before Obama's ascendancy, is a useful model.

Bullock explains narcissism on page 11:

"In such a state only the person himself, his needs, feelings and thoughts, everything and and everybody as they relate to him are experienced as fully real, while everybody and everything otherwise lacks reality or interest."

Bullock describes the effects of narcissism and provides a predictive model useful for Obama on page 343:

"Narcissistic personalities are convinced of their special qualities and their superiority over others, and any threat to this self image--such as being criticized, shown up, or defeated--produces a violent outrage and often a desire for revenge."

Bullock cites 3 psychological reactions Stalin used to guard his narcissistic self image. Bullock credits Robert Tucker for these insights on page 356. The 3 reactions to expect for the Obama profile would be:

a. Repression–simply blankly deny the truth, no matter how obvious or even if caught on video

b. Rationalization-Admit but use the fault as proof of his zeal

c. Projection-Obama will attribute to others the motives and attitudes he refuses to admit in himself

Ironically, per the Profile Dems in the House and Senate will be in much more danger from a wounded irrelevant White House than the Republicans, as Obama will deem the Dems unworthy of him--THEY failed NOT him.

Don't believe the profile??

Just go back and review Obama's response to the Detroit airplane bombing. Obama went through all 3 stages above and that analysis is especially instructive as Obama was naked--without senior staff.

It is wonderful for the President and Obama family to take part in day of services to honor Dr. King. Martin Luther King had a dream most of the American people could share. It was based on peaceful demonstrations and faith in the word of God.
President Obama should be reminded that in the recent opinion polls, his marks are below average ratings by the American people. Approval ratings by Americans have dropped dramatically. Americans are disappointed the President performance. He makes speeches that sound good but cannot deliver on his promises.
Obama’s approval ratings are significantly down because he makes changes in his stated position that are contradictions. Voters cannot trust Obama’s stated positions. He was against the war in Iraq and now he gives an executive order for U.S. military surge in the war in Afghanistan. The polls shows 47 % of the Americans disapprove of the war in Afghanistan.

Obama’s election campaign promises have mostly failed. In place of what the American people expected, they have experience expanded federal government; an unacceptable national dept ratio to federal revenues; denial by silence or fuzzy statements on Islam religious terrorist threats to U.S. and no expression in defense or justification of American values and traditions.

Obama’s politics have given the American people no reason to believe that they are one Nation under God as former U.S. Presidents have sworn oaths on the Holy Bible.
