Obama to attend funeral for Polish president Sunday in Krakow

President Obama will travel to Krakow, Poland, to attend the state funeral of Polish president Lech Kaczynski and first lady Maria Kaczynska this Sunday, departing from Washington Saturday night.

His visit will "express the depth of our condolences to an important and trusted ally, and our support for the Polish people, on behalf of the American people," the White House said Tuesday.

Great! Could we also send the the U.S. Senate to the planting of the Polish Sarah Palin in drag, abroad TU-154's? In foggy weather,to an airport without Nav-Aids,piloted by Honour Graduates of the JFK Jr Flight School.

At dinnertime, I told my wife: "I wonder how long it will be before the right-wingers attack Obama for going to Krakow?" Did not take long, it appears. They don't read or think critically, so they don't know much about Poland and what this means to Poland.

Ever notice how quick ignorant, racist people jump on any reason to vilify the President. Then they whine when called out on their racist comments. The behavior of some Republicans/conservatives/right wing Obama haters has become very boorish and an insult to all patriotic Americans. I suppose they don't consider how their behavior must look to people in other countries.

It sounds as if the pilot and control tower were overruled.

Polish plane crash:
1. Why haven't we heard the voice from the tower to pilot telling him not to land at that airport (as we do in other such accidents)? Was it in Russian, Polish or English?
2. More importantly, did pilot ACKNOWLEDGE alleged warning not to land e.g. "Copy that" etc so we know FOR SURE whether pilot HEARD the warnings rather than SPECULATE that he heard it?
What are the rules for pilots acknowledging communications from tower?
Why haven't print/TV reporters ask these basic questions?

President Obama, please ignore the unnecessary noise by the idiotic tea baggers (the new KKK?). Thanks for mourning with our Polish friends.

The President of one of our main allies in Europe was killed in a plane crash.

Ever notice how quickly Obama wants to get out of US and fly around on that Air Force One? With unemployment approaching 15% or more probably a good idea to get him out of the counry. At least for a few days Americans can forget how much our President hates Free Enterprise and jobs for Americans. Cant we just keep him out of the Country till November???
