Beau Biden, the eldest son of Vice President Biden, suffered a stroke, the White House announced Tuesday.
Beau Biden was admitted to Christiana Hospital in Newark, Del., on Tuesday "after having what we believe to be a mild stroke," according to a statement from his doctor that was released by the vice president's office.
Biden, who is Delaware's attorney general, "is in good spirits and talking with his
family at the hospital. He is fully alert, in stable condition and has full motor and speech skills. We expect him to make a complete recovery," said Timothy Gardner, the medical director of the Center for Heart and Vascular Surgery at Christiana Care Health System.
