Obama to visit gulf region Sunday to see oil spill damage

By Michael D. Shear
President Obama will head to the gulf region this weekend to see for himself the environmental damage from the oil slick and to check in on the federal response to the explosion at an oil rig that caused the crisis, deputy press secretary Bill Burton said.

The president will go to the Gulf of Mexico on Sunday morning, Burton said. Details on where he will go in the area will be released later.

Obama was in Michigan on Saturday morning to deliver a commencement address and is supposed to attend the White House Correspondents' Association dinner Saturday evening.

A senior official said the White House began thinking about a presidential visit Friday morning but did not decide to go this weekend until later in the day. The president will travel with what officials said would be a "very light footprint" to avoid disrupting the response effort.

There was no word on what the president will do when he gets to the Gulf of Mexico. But, the White House is no doubt aware of the public relations disaster for former president George W. Bush, whose flyover of the Hurricane Katrina disaster in New Orleans was widely mocked. And Bush's praise for the director of the Federal Emergency Management Agency in the face of the chaos was seen as a low point of his presidency.

The Gulf of Mex. will suffer one of the largest man made ecological disasters we have ever seen. The no. one priority is to STOP the FLOW of OIL.

The southern border is the site of another grand, man made disaster. The no. one priority should be STOP the ILLEGAL ALIENS. We do not need comprehensive immigration reform, to secure the border.

Visit the NumbersUSA website and help fight illegal immigration.

Maybe Obama should call Sarah Palin to help. As far I can remember she is an expert on oil drilling.
On top of that, let's not forget that she is an expert on foreign policy, Washington politics, sex before marriage, hockey mom,
book writer, talk show host, talk show host pundit and of course, she spoke to French president Nicolas Sarcozy in English language. I mean, she could be of great help here.

If we make BP pay for this oil spill, WE will pay it back to them; PENNY by PENNY, but WE will pay it back. Think about it when you sit in your big SUV tomorrow, you American fatso.

SPILL BABY SPILL!
Here's a responsible conservative solution. If you break it you buy it. Make BP pay for every single penny of damage to anything or anyone. They accepted the risk when they took the job. BP OWES US EVERY SINGLE PENNY! Bail out the mess, not the greedy shortsighted slobs who made it.

I don't believe the President should worrying about visiting the area as much as he should be worried about a slow federal response. Federal law dictates that the government is responsible for managing major oil spills. That includes devoting as much manpower and equipment as needed to contain and mitigate the spill. Obama sat on his hands and blamed BP (who certainly deserves blame for the spill) for not having the resources of the federal government to use in fighting the spill. It was his job to manage it once it became apparent this was a major spill. He didn't and once the dust has settled, we need to know why.

Wow, I guess this is what a great President who relies on the most intelligent advisor's in America's history does when an emergency strikes the US.

"...A senior official said the White House began thinking about a presidential visit Friday morning but did not decide to go this weekend until later in the day..."

I'm very impress that they started talking about an official visit on Friday, albeit the explosion occurred on April 20th which was ten days ago - give me a break!!!

I'm sure Obama will take advantage of the photo op he'll get from this. I can just see it now. He'll be in protective gear, with one hand dipping down into a pool of oil rescuing a bird, while the other will be calculating how he and his Chicago buddies can make money off this. They will probably fix the problem by creating another government agency full of bureaucrats. "Never let a crisis go to waste" -- Rahm Emanuel.

President Obama personal visit to the Gulf Coast will accomplish nothing, other then a whole lot of waste of taxpayers money during these hard time for the nation besieged in economic terror, ideological divide, polarization and the nation on a fast track of destruction from within.

The couple of million that will cost for that 747 to haul from DC to New Orleans, plus all that security needed for his safety, that will cause just inconvenience and interference , can best be used for other things.

One would hope that he is above politicking and these disaster junkets, that the locals will resent and all.

He can do better by publicly through executive order laying down the law and taking to task these greed creed, malignant narcissist, chronic scape goaters, uncorrectable grab baggers of their long criminal negligence, and sacrificing the workers through reckless abandon and impunity. He should order the justice Department and the FBI to cease and impound all BP assets, at least some 20 billion that will cost the US tax payers. Let main street be gets what is due it from wall street.

On the other front of stabilize the economy, items like oil, natural gas, gasoline / other petroleum products, basic foods like corn, wheat, soya, meat, sugar etc, other necessities like water shelter ( basic housing), electricity, utilities should all be banned form commodities markets, features and such speculation by the greed creed , at least for five years.

These measures are necessary for the national security of this nation and the people. The is the most decent thing to do and the rest of the world will follow to save itself from the impending disaster that for sure to follow on account of the fundamentally flawed economic system, that has been proven time and again, to be a failure and not working.

Let a little equability prevail for the taxpayers to get their fair share and restore some confidence in the Governments. It is high time and long over due.

These are the changes that the people want.

The coordination of the NOAA response plan with the Coast Guards for oil spill responses should have been enhanced to include all industry players capabilities. The slow response to boom and burn has seen winds go to 30 mph towards the mainland. The Coast Guard did an excellent job of evacuating 90 people (3 critical) off the burning rig. We should have mobilized the National Guard days ago with the power to appropriate heavy equipment privately owned to create artificial reefs having the spongelike dead marsh base absorb and protect the coastline from oil. It looks like too little too late with accepting the oil company number of 1000 bbls a day. This is a major ecological disaster if we can't stop the flow for weeks, let alone the possible months.

IS A U.S. GOV'T MICROWAVE SUPERWEAPON PLAYING A ROLE IN GULF OIL SLICK DISASTER?

Would you believe that the phased array of multiplexed microwave antennae that comprise the U.S. government's covert cell tower- based "Multi-funcitonal Microwave Radio Frequency Directed Energy Weapon" -- deployed in EVERY neighborhood in America, with similar installations worldwide -- actually can manipulate the WEATHER and steer the winds?

Unless overt operatives have sanitized U.S. Patent No. 7629918, the Raytheon patent states that the "Multifunctional Radio Frequency Directed Energy Weapon" system can be uesd for "atmospheric modification."

This is a GOD machine, now in the hands of Homeland Security-run multi-agency "fusion center" commanders and operatives.

If the operators of this "God Machine" did not have evil intent, wouldn't they use it to steer the winds AWAY from shore, blowing the slick out to sea?

http://frreepatentsonline.com/7629918.html

NOTE: This journalist now gets a message that this public patent is "currently not available." Why? Is someone trying to hide disclosure of this "weird science?"

The world has come together and has seen what evil looks like. World leaders of all religions now have this common knowledge. Obama is the Anti-Christ, Devil on Earth, or what ever else you want to call this Demonic Figure. His words describe him, He is a False Hope, If you listen to him you will love him. He carries a Bow without an Arrow. He will conquer all through his speech, his false hoods will capture all who sit and listen to him.

On April 27, 2003, Exactly seven years ago the Bouchard Barge B-120 hit an obstacle in Buzzards Bay, creating a 12-foot rupture in its hull and discharging an estimated 100,000 gallons of No. 6 oil. The oil is known to have affected an estimated 90 miles of shoreline, numerous bird species, and recreational use of the bay, such as shell fishing and boating.

We need to review the George Stephanopoulos interview the other day in which the Coast Guard Rear Admiral Mary E. Landry told George there was no leak!   Where did the Rear Admiral get this faulty information and who does are government think they are dealing with?

Coast Guard Rear Admiral Mary E. Landry was in charge of the Buzzards Bay oil spill ! Why did the Coast Guard delay its response ?
