Obama will meet Arizona's governor at White House on Thursday

By Michael D. Shear
President Obama will sit down Thursday with Arizona Gov. Jan Brewer (R) at the White House, where they will discuss her state's controversial immigration law and the broader issue of border security, a White House official said Tuesday night.

Brewer sought the meeting, which was first reported by Fox News. It comes as the Obama administration is mulling legal action to block the law, which gives police broader powers to check for immigration status.

That action could come any day, as the Justice Department concludes its review of the law. Obama has said he is troubled by the measure, which critics say will lead to racial profiling of Hispanics in Arizona.

Brewer signed the legislation into law after complaining that the federal government was not doing enough to secure the border. The law was amended shortly after to specifically outlaw profiling. But critics still contend that would be the result.

White House officials declined to provide details about the upcoming meeting. Brewer will be in Washington to attend a meeting of an Obama-appointed council of governors.

"is he going to offer her the secretary of the navy job???"

Why would he? She already owes him for making her Governor by appointing Napolitano to Homeland Security.

obama has made NO efforts to secure our borders. He WANTS illegals to come surging into our nation like cucarachas so they can vote for him. After all, it's not *his* money that will support the illegals, their anchor babies and the 80 "relatives" they bring over. Maybe Gov. Brewer will read the Arizona bill to him -- he sure hasn't read it himself. Watch for him to do something illegal like offer her "an unpaid advisory position."

Just more posturing on Obama's part. He knows exactly what is in both the Federal law and the Arizona law. He doesn't intend to ever do anything about either of them except to make a "big show" of calling in these awful offenders to "talk" about their transgressions. Talk, talk, talk, yak, yak, yak..............ho hum!!

Who, pray who, is advising Pres Obama to meet with Jan Brewer? This is her dream come true. She hates Obama with intensity that literally screws her face up. This will show everyone how "tough" she is and give her fame beyond her dreams. Please, who is advising Obama?

Statistics show that at one point near Yuma, Arizona l68,000 illegal aliens attempted to enter this country in eight months. After their entrance, this nation gives these low socio-economic, needy people all the services of a citizen plus extra like FREE medical care. These beggars leave behind a very oil-rich,silver-rich country with the wealthiest people in the world who live like monarchs while contemptuously sending their poor to America for support by the middle-class here. If we don't like this lopsided deal, we are called "bigots". I am one of the millions ready to pick up my pitchfork and head for Washington DC.

How intimidating will POTUS attempt to get with the Arizona governor? Then again, how do you excoriate the state executive who signs a bill that enforces federal law? Oh wait, the administration enforces the laws it wants to ... selective adherence to the oath to uphold the constitution.

We must send out a resounding message to all pro-amnesty incumbents, that if you are not living up to the standards of your oath of office—YOU’RE OUT! The purge must start on June 6, with the removal of Senator Harry Reid of Nevada. His leadership in his anti-sovereignty influence had allowed him and his motley of followers to sacrifice the—REAL DOUBLE FENCING AT OUR NATIONAL BORDER, for a single barrier with large regions of nothing more than old corroded barbed wire. The second interior fence has remained un-built, as funding was cut secretly. So the mixed bag of organized crime dealing drugs and hundreds of thousands of illegal entrants would have been apprehended and detained in the open area between the two high-rise fences. This mistake has been one of the main causes of Border States, being highly susceptible to the illegal immigrant invasion. We know that 72 percent of the American people want something done and its not—AMNESTY?

This is why Jan Brewer, the Governor of Arizona had to enact the highly controversial policing law. When our own government refuses to implement previously assessed immigration laws, such as the 1986 Simpson-Mazzoli bill, then there is no defense at the border or within America itself. Whether it is this year or the next, we as Americans must be ready to stop any—AMNESTY. The costs will be huge including the chain migration of immediate family members. Any amnesty will be a signal to those waiting in foreign lands, that if they illegally cross into our sovereign land, eventually they will be allowed to get citizenship. Learn more at NumbersUSA.

Governor should not forget that securing the borders is a totally different thing than discriminating and deporting people who live for decades in the US. No one here really gives a damn about humans, when it comes to politics! I am ashamed of the racist propaganda in the country...that used to be once a land of dreams and freedom for everyone!
