Obama gives threadbare billionare one of his ties

By Michael D. Shear
What do you give one of the world's richest men when he stops by your house?

If you're the president, and your visitor's tie looks a bit frayed, then you pull out one of yours and give him one.

That's what happened today, when Warren Buffett showed up at the White House for an unannounced visit to the Oval Office with President Obama.

According to a White House official, who wanted to stay anonymous commenting on the attire of a billionaire, Obama noticed the tie, which was a bit worn around the edges, and gave Buffett one of his own, a red number.

Though he is one of the nation's most successful investors, Buffett, who is also a director of the Washington Post Co., is known as someone not concerned about a flashy appearance.

It saddens me to hear that White Americans have such small minds, they can not see good from evil, When they cannot see the future from the past, they can not recognize someone who is trying to bring the country together while those that they are clinging to are tearing the country apart with hate and prejudices. We the people of Black descent go way back with you. We are American, just as our president is. Don't allow skin color to stand in your way, look past that and see a man who wants to bring us all together not a red state and a blue state, but a United States of America!

Some corrections made to the quoted post. As for the article, it's not worthy of mention in the news.
As for the corrected post above, americans are of many ethnicities. What he seems to be saying is that anyone who opposes the democratic party's antics in Washington is tearing this country apart. I submit that it is the democratic party's antics in Washington which are tearing this country apart as they drive this country constantly forward to a socialistic country our founders would have overthrown. For tearing this country apart, the whites have the KKK and some other low life organizations which have been rightly denounced for what they are. On the other side, we have how many black organizations, latino orgaizations, etc which espouse race superiority? NAACP and the New Black Panthers come to mind as black racist organizations.
The democratic party with its government handouts(forcibly taken from someone else and minus the government's cut) creates the feeling that you owe them something. When they ask for repayment, it is in the form of votes so they can stay in power and create more handouts(see definition above) which in the end will enslave the population. As the democratic party sees it, that is the past and the future. No wonder the folks in the TEA Party are so incensed about the takeover. They see what is coming in the future.

It saddens me to read the thoughts of a small mind who is in dire need of an education. He murders the English Language...no wonder the schools are in trouble, if this is a sample of this persons education and what kids are getting today...God help us all!

On another note, a tie from Obama to Buffett certainly isn't worth the ink it took to write this article..for goodess sake, we have many more important concerns to deal with..

Barkermr:

It saddens me to see that this story about Warren Buffet getting a tie from Obama has to be turned into a racial argument. You said White Americans have small minds. You obviously lack education because you can't write or spell very well. Is it becuase us "White Americans" prevented you from going to school? or was that your own decision? Did White Americans help elect Obama, or was it only Blacks? You are a bigot of the worst kind. You blame "White Americans" for being racist, yet it is the Black Americans who try to set racial lines. Have you ever heard of the White Congressional Caucus? or the White Police Officers Association? Or the the National Association for the Advancement of White People? or the hundreds of other "BLACK ONLY" groups. Sounds to me that you should go back to school, learn how to communicate in english, get off the couch and try to better yourself instead of blaming everyone else for your sorry life.

Why are we still debating racial discrimination in America? The Civil Rights Act of 1964 was supposed to have killed it and the election of a black president in 2008 effectively exorcise any ghosts that hovered around. That persons still discriminate on the basis of race , proves that moral decency cannot be legislated. And the ascendency to the highest office in the land by one of similar race does not neccesarily mean that an African-American would ever be viewed any more favorably than he was 50 years ago.

Buffet does not throw away his ties after 1 wearing, he had to earn the money. He brobably does not buy $300.00 pizzas either. The story should go, US taxpayer buyes Warren Buffet $300.00 tie. It makes me feel very benevolent and fuzzy. What did we buy Bill?

barkermr,

Your credibility is ruined by your inability to communicate in writing. It does "people of Black decent" (I assume you mean "descent") no good when you represent us with such low linguistic standards. In fact, it sets us back QUITE a bit. Get educated, then speak of (other) small minds.

Buffet is quickly becoming a very weird old man in all things not related to business.

That's assuming that Obama is legally President.
