Ben Quayle: Obama 'the worst president in history'

Ben Quayle -- son of former Vice President Dan, running for Congress in Arizona -- is up with a new campaign spot today in which he says he was "raised right" and President Obama is "the worst president in history."

It happens to come the same day Quayle admitted to writing for a nightlife site called called "Dirty Scottsdale" -- something he'd denied the day before. Quayle was mocked last week for using a staffer's kids in a campaign mailer.

OK, so maybe Barry isn't the worst President in history. Just the most radical leftist, most corrupt and dishonest since FDR, and the most incompetent since Jimmy Carter.

The latest brat offspring has made a stupid statement, just like Daddy did many times.
What a retard. Barack Obama has been rated in the top 15 BEST Presidents.
This nut has not fallen far from the tree.

Dan Savage, the sex columnist, commented that the ad shows Ben Quayle has "a pretty mouth" (maybe; but only if you keep the audio off), and provides a link to the on-line satire of the ad: "Ben's So Butch" http://slog.thestranger.com/slog/archives/2010/08/11/bens-so-butch

I don't know if Obama can be characterized as the worst president yet, but I think he's working on it. In the campaign he said he was campaigning in all "57" states.
As president, he has backtracked on just about every one of his campaign promises.
With a big majority in both houses of Congress, he can't get his party together to pass his ultra-liberal agenda and has
the nerve to blame the minority party for
his failure. Maybe a little less vacationing, a little less golf and one-on-one basketball and a little less meaningless rhetoric and hypocricy would
get some positive results. But, that's what you get when you put someone in power without experience or any background in
history, economics, business, labor relations, etc. All he's ever done is try
to get more people on welfare, have them
vote the Democratic ticket to keep the
welfare checks coming and the Democrats
could be in power forever, or at least until the well ran dry.

I bet Jimmy Carter is on his knees thanking God that someone else now owns the title "Worst President in History".

Actually, George Bush ranks well below Jimmy Carter. Bush is ranked as one of the five worst President in history even though Rove and Liz Cheney keep trying to re-write history. I think people got tired of even listening to their lies that historians are ignoring their crap.

"Worst president ever' was what the Republicans said over and over about FDR. Ben's daddy, Dan was the stupidest VP ever... and given the wealth of ignorance to choose from in Presidential/ Vice-presidential American History, that's saying a lot ( not worse than Aaron Burr who shot and killed Alexander Hamilton, one of the brightest of America's fonding fathers... just stupider )

Don't hold your breath "Republikans"! LOL
Everybody with a ounce of brains knows Herbert Hoover and George W Bush were considered the worst Presidents ever.

Obama is still trying to clean up the GOP mess. GWBush presidency was like one big giant "country spill". We're still having a hard time plugging up George's hole.

The American people aren't stupid enough to turn the keys back over to the GOP thieves that robbed this country blind. Saw a commercial yesterday where the nothing of a candidate Fred Thompson is asking the people to bring back the tax cuts for the rich. Can you believe these people. Here we are suffering from those rich folk gravy train and this idiot wants us to go back to that again? OBAMA 2012

Matt DeLong chides Quayle but forgets to edit his own post. The link he provides for the "admitted" story from Quayle takes you directly to a Blagojevich article.

Those of you that like to claim the Republicans ran the country into the ground the last 8 years are delusional. The Democrats had a majority in the house and senate the last two years of Bush's term. Therefore, the Democrats are responsible for this mess! Furthermore, Obama was part of that senate, as was Biden.

Quayle is right - Obama is the worst president ever.

Why does the Washington Post even publish Boy Ben's statements....nothing about him or his comments are newsworthy. He is by all accounts too arrogant to realize that he is an embarrassment to himself and a liability to any political party to which he aligns. Mainstream media is looking more and more like reality show journalism.

When we hear pronouncements from someone with no leadership experience other than a family connection, we would do well to consider the source before we put a shred of belief in them. His knowledge base for evaluating anything is pretty small and he's going to have to develop some higer standards if he wants to play with the big kids. Just throwing insults fixes nothing. As it is, he sounds like another sleazy party hack in the making.

More wishful thinking (without thinking) from a depleted GOP. They ran this country into the ground for eight years and now continue to do so by bashing good leaders and obstructing good work. They do so with nothing but hypothetical projections of doom and gloom for the future. They will say anything, disrupt everything, and add nothing as they continue to slow the progress of the United States. This guy, like Palin, is a gift to the Democrats but the cost for such behavior is significant. The GOP needs to get it together and show they care about our country more than they care about the perceived collective bruise to their fragile ego.

GHW did not want Quayle on the ticket and for good reason. The Neocons in the establishment forced him to pair up in order to win the nomination. Apparently his son is even dumber than his father.

Amazing stuff here, the GOP is completely bankrupt.

The good news: this will all be coming to an end in November----along with many Liberal democratic and progressive candidates' reigns. Corruption. Incompetance. Arrogance. All coming to an end. Harry R.: Despite a war chest of monies from progressive donations
world-wide (that are fueling attack and negative advertisements against his opponent); I predict he, too, will be thrown out. Numbers do not lie---14.5 percent umemployment in Nevada, countless foreclosed properties, all will bring him down. That--more than these disgraceful advertisements--will resonate with the voters come election time. Write that.

Is this guy for real? Sounds like something an elementary schooler or Dan Quayle would say - they don't know much about politics or government. Doesn't seem very organized in delivery, either. It's almost a spoof. He seems even dumber than Palin, and that's pretty hard to do.

Can't you just imagine if Bush had found this dumba!! and ran with him, instead of Cheney? WOW - that would've been the dumbest tandem ever.

Look out, though, it might be Palin/Quayle in 2012, and they're "gonna knock the hell outta the place". As for Obama being the worst president in history - that's a laugh. As much as I've been annoyed by Obama not cleaning up well enough, I don't fault him for everything. Bush drove this country into the ground.

He EARNED the title for Worst Ever President of the US, from being intentionally polarizing, to being intentionally corrupt and misleading, to being naturally stupid and arrogant. A comedian's dream, a citizen's nightmare. What a waste of tax dollars and life that guy was. Quayle must've been Terri Schiavoed the past decade or something...

Can Ben Quayle be dumber than his father? In the 20th and 21st centuries, the Republicans have served up Presidents Harding, Coolidge and Hoover and then came back with Nixon, Ford and Bush 43. Bush 43's competition for worst President ever remains James Buchanan. We used to pray for the health of Bush 41 because the thought of Dan (Potatoe Head) Quayle being President was mind numbing . We also prayed for Bush 43 despite his hopeless incompetence because Cheney is insane.

I may not think much of the kid, but he's clearly got a point.

Mr. 10% unemployment, which is really 18%, Obama, clearly doesn't know how to govern. Why he confused running for office with governing, I'll never know.

It's clear he know's how to do only one thing, blame Bush for everything.

For years I wondered how Jimmy Carter could do such a bad job, now I know. Work against the will of the american people, do simpleminded things that seem to make sense and work at odds to the american economy.

Obama, what a loser.

Much much worse than peanut Carter.

A poll of historians a few months ago ranked Obama 19th among all the presidents (GW Bush ranked 39), so who am I supposed to believe, historians or this unknown son of one of the most negligible vice presidents in history? Mr. Quayle is free to spout his garbage. My question is why is the Post reporting this?

The very existence of Ben Quayle as a candidate for Congress highlights the intellectual and practical bankruptcy of the GOP. Dan Quayle was a pale carbon copy of GHW Bush and likened himself to John Kennedy until Lloyd Bentsen set him straight.

Now we have Dan's son...who lowers the bar to ankle height.

Sarah Palin, Glenn Beck, Rush Limbaugh...this is the face of American conservatism? These hate-mongering sociopathic liars? Or Mitch McConnell and John Boehner, do-nothing foot-dragging party hacks? Wow.

This country is in tough shape. GW Bush and Dick Cheney shoulder much of the blame. At least the Democrats are fighting for the American middle class. You can't say that about the GOP.
