Reid finds a Republican to use against Angle

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid is out with a new ad attacking Republican challenger Sharron Angle with one of her own. The ad features self-identified Republican, NRA member and President of the Peace Officers Research Association of Nevada Bill Ames.

In the ad, Ames establishes himself as a supporter of the Second Amendment right to bear arms saying it is "a constitutional right I believe in." The ad then plays a recording of Angle from a January appearance on The Lars Larson Show. In the appearance, Angle is heard saying, "If this Congress keeps going the way it is, people are really looking towards those Second Amendment remedies." The ad goes back to Ames who says that what Angle is "actually talking about is armed resistance," and "that kind of talk is dangerous and way too extreme."

Angle and Reid are locked in a high-profile race in Nevada. Both candidates have been trading ads, with third-party groups and party organizations lobbing their own TV ad grenades into the race.

Since this is on the Obama Presidency Blog, where is President Obama's comment on this pressing matter?

LA RAZA HARRY REID - 25% OF NEVADA ILLEGAL - WELFARE FOR ILLEGALS SOARING! FASTEST GROWING PARTY IN NEVADA IS LA RAZA!

NO WONDER OBAMA IS DESPERATE TO GET LA RAZA REID RE-ELECTED - AMNESTY!
WERE NOT HISPANIC, AND EITHER REFUSED OR COULD NOT SPEAK ENGLISH?

One thing that has certainly changed since 1994 is Harry Reid. As Senate Democratic Leader, he now sees illegal aliens and foreign workers as future Democratic voters and believes that pandering to Hispanics will help him win votes.

It will grant amnesty to every single illegal alien present in this country the day it is passed. Besides rewarding the lawbreakers who are already here, this will encourage additional illegal immigration as the bill is debated. The bill even allows illegal aliens with multiple criminal convictions to receive amnesty.

Bring back the Old Harry Reid

When asked about figures released by the Pew Hispanic Center that found that 14% of the nation’s construction workers are illegal aliens, Harry Reid responded, “That may be some place, but it’s not here in Nevada.” Reid is right. The number is much higher in Nevada. According to the same report, Nevada has the highest level of illegal aliens in the workforce at 12.2%—2.3% higher than the next highest state.
When asked to justify why he blocked Senator Jeff Session’s Amendment to require government contracted construction workers use E-verify to prevent them from hiring illegal aliens with the taxpayer’s money, he replied: “That’s the reason we need to do comprehensive immigration reform. We cannot do it piecemeal.”
In other words: he refuses to enforce our immigration laws unless we pass amnesty.
Earlier in the year, Reid wrote a detailed outline with Senators Chuck Schumer (D-NY) and Robert Menendez (D-NJ) of what they wanted “comprehensive immigration reform” to look like.

It became very apparent just how racist Harry Reid is when he stated that Obama could be a successful candidate because he is "light skinned" and that he speaks with "no Negro dialect, unless he wanted to have one."

I'm not a Nevadan, and not a Harry Reid fan to be honest (would've preferred he had a primary challenger so we could have a new Senate leader and perhaps somebody better), but Sharron Angle is a dunce. Call Ames a RINO all you want - he's telling the truth and that's undeniable. People in the country can support the Second Amendment, be in the NRA, and not want irresponsible nitwits like Angle crowing about an armed insurrection against the federal gov't and desiring mob rule. Granted, I wouldn't mind throwing out most of the people in Congress, reducing the salaries of all those who remain, and going from there, but her stance is pretty wacky. Frankly, she's had a number of wacky things to say, and surprisingly, she still won the Republican primary. Reid has made some gaffes, too, but his ideology isn't completely screwy like Angle's. She even looks like a dingbat.

Now, if only the GOP could get her to shut up about her true views and "values", she might actually win. HA!

It's pretty obvious that Ames is a RINO, not a republican. Harry Reid is the worst thing to happen to Nevada.... look at our unemployment from 4.5 to 14.2 since Harry has been Senate leader. Housing market is in the toilet. We need to take Harry Reid out.....of office.

No matter which side of the isle you sit on, you can't call Harry Reid ineffective.
