Rush Limbaugh wedding photos posted on Facebook

Conservative radio host Rush Limbaugh has posted pictures of his wedding on Facebook, sparking thousands of comments.

The 63-year-old Limbaugh married 33-year-old Kathryn Rogers in Palm Beach, Florida this June. (It's his fourth marriage). As you can see from the photos, Elton John performed at the wedding -- a surprising choice considering their divergent political views. Blogger David Weigel wrote at the time that while Limbaugh is fairly liberal on social issues, it was still an odd pairing:

Honestly, I'm more surprised that John took the gig because of his often-stated disgust with how the media treated Hillary Clinton in 2008. If anti-gay rhetoric hasn't played much of a role in Limbaugh's show, sexism against liberal women certainly has. I think liberal anger at John for playing the wedding was more of an issue than conservative confusion about Limbaugh.

See all the photos here.

First, I am certain that Limbaugh is 59, not 63.

Second, the wedding pictures are interesting, but what I find more interesting is that Rush Limbaugh waited so long to launch his official Facebook fan page. What is more interesting is whether he will beat out some of the other Facebook fan page leaders such as Lady Gaga and the Family Guy pages. There is some interesting details on that here: http://hubpages.com/hub/Rush-Limbaugh-Facebook-Page

I thought that Rush Limbaugh was about 59 or 60? Could someone clearify this for your readers.

These 'comments' show clearly how hateful, spiteful, vacuous and bordering on the illiterate LIBERALS are. These are the same people who want a'Cradle to Grave' Nannie State, and despise anyone who stands between them and 'Big Brother'. What a sad, ignorant, 'dependent' lot these people are! They are so jealous of anyone who can make it on their own!

Look. I am sure Elton got paid handsomely. Profit trumps all considerations. I couldn't care less that Elton played at Rush's wedding. But honestly, can you imagine Elton John coming up with yet of third rendition of his ode to Marylin Monroe "Goodbye Norma Jean" at ol' Rush's funeral--an event likely to prompt celebrations in the street except within the increasingly narrower confines of the GOP.

This is not quantum physics folks. Limbaugh is an aging millionaire, not in the best of health, will probably die of throat cancer, heart attack or stroke, or all three within the next 10 years. Women can tolerate just about any sort of fate given those odds. And it is a sure fire bet that she doesn't have to have sex with him. Just be seen hanging on his flabby arm and pretending to adore him.

Everyone knows Limbaugh loves strong, young military men, which is probably where he really gets off--particularly if they agree to dress in full Nazi regalia and pummel his naked buttocks occasionally.

Fourth marriage! I thought the Right was all about moral values.

This is Limbaugh's 4th marriage and no sired offspring, which prompts one to wonder just what his real sexual orientation is. I am not certain whether he is Gay or whether he is simply so in love with his own nauseating, hog-like self that he really cannot imagine having sexual relations with anyone other than himself.

There really is something bizarre about this odd looking man.

She's a very pretty woman. I bet Rush has a prenuptual agreement as thick as your arm. If she's marrying him for money, she will earn every cent. I can't even imagine shaking his hand, let alone any sort of spousal duty.

Successful and very famous people like Rush and Elton love to do the unexpected and poke holes in their respective images.

"while Limbaugh is fairly liberal on social issues"

Since when? Everything that comes out of that fatf___k's mouth is hateful, and usually contradictory.

By the way, why would anybody marry Rush Limbaugh? Oh right, the money. Okay fine, it could be the drugs.

Wow...

I will say congratualtions to Rush.

I will also have to say ewwww on both parties.

He is waaayyyy to old for her

and she, well

she is only shot in the photos from certain angles to not reveal the shovel and gloves.

I don't always agree with his comments but gotta say this to him, "watch your back jack."

My impression is that a substantial sum for his charitable interests can get Sir Elton to do almost anything. And he might have been especially intrigued at the prospect of getting the money from a conservative who probably wouldn't contribute to AIDS research.

If she is pregnant, anyone at the wedding is suspect except Elton John. I still say that Rush just doesn't look right without a trough in front of him. I never saw a picture of her seeing eye dog.

I wanted to look but I can't I just ate supper... maybe I will do it in the morning before breakfast! I wanted to see what kind of woman would marry such a gas bag, is she mostly black and have a white stripe going down her back?

First Limbaugh is 59 not 63.
Secondly, the two make a lovely couple. The tolerant leftists posting here sure lack for class. I don't care what your politics may be, wishing a newly married couple anything but your best wishes is tasteless. Stay classy.

Nice pics, congratulations to Mr. and Mrs. Limbaugh.

As for Elton John singing at their wedding;
He is a great singer and an excellent choice by the Limbaughs.

Sir Elton and Mr. Limbaugh are obviously more open minded than their critics.

Rush finally found someone who is willing to waste their time with him. In addition, I would like to give the little lady a piece of advice - take his money and run. Run straight to the arms of a younger man! The only thing Rush can hold up is his loud voice and fat hips.

Elton John performs at a lot of private parties. His fee is 5 million dollars. It is a gig and he does it quite often.

Simply having divergent viewpoints, however strongly held, doesn't mean people can't respect one another or celebrate the good things in life.

Well it looks like that respect and civility lasted about 38 minutes, which I think is a record on these boards.

Interesting that he and Newt have the same scam going (pitching the wife after scoring some new trim). Must be a power thing. Compares and contrasts well with Barak and Michelle.

Hmmm, leave it to the leftmedia to bring up politics during a wedding. You may not understand this, but people with different opinions can get along. If Elton John gets flack from the liberal Left for doing this, maybe it will help him understand the Right's point of view, we might just get a convert... As much as they complain about intolerance, the Left have always been the more intolerant, politically speaking. I agree with you, zippyspeed.

I agree with zippyspeed. Plus, if Rush gave me a million dollars to play the piano at his wedding, you'd better believe I'd take it.

Since this is on the Obama Presidency Blog, where is President Obama's comment on this pressing matter?

Posted by: jiji1 | August 11, 2010 4:11 PM | Report abuse

Simply having divergent viewpoints, however strongly held, doesn't mean people can't respect one another or celebrate the good things in life. Often quite the opposite. It is worth remembering that even in our superheated political environment, very few people are just walking caricatures of a particular viewpoint. As the above comment notes, the irony is that many more liberals were angry with Elton John than conservatives were with Rush Limbaugh. Believe it or not, anger and intolerance can be found everywhere. Thankfully, both Limbaugh and Elton John put it all aside and, by all accounts, had a great evening (with heavy applause and multiple curtain calls for Elton).
