ACORN 'pimp' James O'Keefe tries to play sexually explicit prank on CNN reporter Abbie Boudreau

By Matt DeLong

Updated at 2:38 p.m.

This is strange. According to CNN:

A conservative activist known for making undercover videos plotted to embarrass a CNN correspondent by recording a meeting on hidden cameras aboard a floating "palace of pleasure" and making sexually suggestive comments, according to e-mails and a planning document .
James O'Keefe, best known for hitting the community organizing group ACORN with an undercover video sting, hoped to get investigative correspondent Abbie Boudreau onto a boat filled with sexually explicit props and then record the session, those documents show.
The plan apparently was thwarted after Boudreau was warned minutes before the meeting occurred.
"I never intended to become part of the story," Boudreau said. "But things suddenly took a very strange turn."

Indeed. In a 13-page document obtained by CNN, O'Keefe said he intended to "punk" CNN by attempting to "seduce [Boudreau], on camera, to use her for a video."

Update: CNN has posted video of Boudreau explaining the ordeal.

In case you have forgotten, O'Keefe is the young conservative activist who brought down the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now (ACORN) in 2009 with a series of heavily edited undercover videos in which he and an associate posed as a pimp and prostitute seeking tax advice.

O'Keefe returned to the headlines in January when he and three accomplices were arrested for trying to tamper with the phone system in Sen. Mary Landrieu's (D-La.) New Orleans office. O'Keefe and his friends later received probation after pleading guilty to charges related to the caper.

Boy, does this guy have it wired, or what? How to commit crime after crime and get away with it: PRETEND to be a criminal, claiming that your "real" actions have nothing to do with your "pretend" actions. Therefore, there is no responsibility because your "real" actions take precedence over your pretensions.
What an entrepeneur!

If this clown continues to pull crap like this, I predict his hidden camera will capture his butt being kicked, probably by a woman who he is attempting to embarass. How embarassing.

The only criticism of this article I have is the headline. O'Keefe may well be a pimp, but if so, he was pimping for the GOP, not for ACORN.

Punked my !@# - the S. O. B. should be in jail, he's a felon it doesn't matter what his supposed political affiliations are he's a criminal and he broke probation it's that simple a real no brainer but as we've seen with the way the conservatives are they give Bush a pass on murdering thousands, Paladino going around with a pack of thugs and sending porn by email, O'Donnell claiming to have bought and paid for a degree she didn't have, Palin not being able to finish out her term as governor and so on.

They'll let their conservative creeps and criminals a pass everyone else has to be a saint!

Why does this not violate his probation from prior case of breaking into a La. Senator's office tapping the phone? This is someone obstructing the voters with his shenanigans and should be punked in jail.

In exchange for copies of the unedited tapes Brown gave Giles immunity from any criminal prosecution under the state privacy statutes.

See the originals in the entirety at the California Attorney General's website and compare.
