Christine O'Donnell in 1999: 'I dabbled into witchcraft'

By Matt DeLong

Last updated at 12:12 p.m.

The story of Christine O'Donnell's past got a little stranger Friday. Bill Maher -- on whose former show, "Politically Incorrect," O'Donnell appeared repeatedly in the late 1990s -- showed a previously unaired clip from Oct. 29, 1999, on his current HBO program, "Real Time," in which the GOP Senate nominee from Delaware said she "dabbled into witchcraft." From ThinkProgress:

O'DONNELL: I dabbled into witchcraft -- I never joined a coven. But I did, I did. ... I dabbled into witchcraft. I hung around people who were doing these things. I'm not making this stuff up. I know what they told me they do. [...]

One of my first dates with a witch was on a satanic altar, and I didn't know it. I mean, there's little blood there and stuff like that. ... We went to a movie and then had a midnight picnic on a satanic altar.

O'Donnell is an outspoken conservative Christian, making this admission a little surprising.

Maher said he will show a clip every week until O'Donnell appears on his show. "It's like a hostage crisis," Maher said. "Every week you don't show up, I'm going to throw another body out."

Watch:

Update: In other O'Donnell news that may or may not be related, Bob Schieffer tweeted Saturday that the candidate has pulled out of a scheduled appearance on CBS's "Face the Nation" on Sunday. She is still scheduled to appear on "Fox News Sunday" at 9 a.m.

Second Update: O'Donnell has also canceled her appearance on "Fox News Sunday."

Diane Banister, whose public relations firm booked the shows for O'Donnell, said in an e-mail Saturday that O'Donnell canceled so she could attend a Republican campaign event Sunday in Delaware's Sussex County.

My question to Ms. O'Donnell is where did the blood on the altar come from? An innocent cat?Is that what you're planning to do? Sacrifice Americans on the high priestes' altar of moral misfits?

Miss O’Donnell where did the blood on the altar come from? Did you kill an innocent cat or was one of your fiends masturbating while they had their period? In the ghetto if we walk in on our kids while masturbating we just close the door, give them some privacy. It’s the rehearsal before they make us a grandmother. But taking the life of an innocent animal is grounds for an ass kicking. It will instill in a child the value of life. It is what a parent has to do to bring a child up right. There will be no more talk of devil worship or animal sacrifice. Let’s hope that we don’t hear anymore “wisdom” from the self appointed moral misfits like you. Family Values From Grandma WacKyourAss

"Personally, I'd rather vote for someone who really knows how hard it is to pay the bills"

Well that can't be O'Donnell. She has had no problem paying her bills at all, even with no income.

She's a thief. Easy for thieves to pay their bills. When a bill becomes due, steal the money from your supporters and pay the bill.

Easy, right?

Look, we can debate her strange moral opinions all we want. The bottom line is she misused campaign funds, and lied in reporting that misuse.

You Conservatives can twist it all you want, the facts is she's a thief and may end up in jail for her crimes.

You are absolutely right, IQ, but remember, if it had been a democrat like Barney Frank, James McGreevey, or Ted Kennedy, all O'Donnell needed to do to cop out with the aquiessence and support of the "Lamestream Media", was to say she was a Paganist at the time and that was her
"religion", and no one would dare criticize her or even talk about it in the media!

What can I say. C'est la vie!

THANK YOU DEMOCRACTS

Beau Biden was smart enough to turn down the chance to run for daddy's senate seat. So what do the democrats do? They give us a candidate who is an avowed maxist and can't balance a county budget.

Personally, I'd rather vote for someone who really knows how hard it is to pay the bills and not some elitist snob who thinks he's smarter than 99% of America.

Sarcasm:

I am sure that Obama and the Democrats are not only thrilled that the same imbecile voters that elected them to power in the first place are now choosing opponents that are not electable, but must also be seeing Miss O'Donnell in a much favorable light since, after all, she dabbled in serving their Master! LOL! :)

Out of their trailers and onto the campaign trail.....

what is with the tea Party? THEY CHOOSE to be represented by former beauty pageant contestants that admitedly don't know the difference between continents and countries.

Now they want their fiscally responsible platform represented by a woman who has is personally bankrupt, who has lied about previous campaigns, education and God knows what else; then to lead their moral crusade as someone whom has dated withches?

You have another guy that is telling us how we oughta live and govern our country that was formerly found his deity "Aqua Buddah" after a few dozen bong-hits.

There's the other guy that's for closing down medicade and social security because it's not in the constitution- but neglects to mention neither are federal highways, farm subsidies, nor National Center for disease control.

These are your representives? So, then it's an accurate representation?

Gee, all we got is a Harvard-graduated, constitutional law professor, with a happy marriage raising two fine daughters.

No wonder you like us- we're not at all like you.

Christine is a Sarah Palin wanna be. She has come to realize that there is great money in politics whether you win or not. She will be able to pay herself a generous salary since she is broke and out of work. She will be able to get her home out of foreclosure with campaign funds. Hell, she will even be able to afford to buy herself some Prada shoes. The Republicans are so gullible. They will throw money at anyone they believe is an Anti-Democrat. In this case, with her Satanic background, Christine is more like the Anti-Christ. Thank God for the Tea Baggers. They will divide and destroy the Republican party without the Democrats lifting a finger. They are their own worst enemies.

Every time the Post prints personal attacks like the one in this article, I lose a little more respect for the paper I once highly admired. The veil covering the Post's intentions to smear certain candidates is so thin one can see more clearly through it than without it. I would feel the same way about this if the Post was slandering Democratic or otherwise liberal candidates as I do when Post writers slash conservatives. How superior Post editorialists are when they criticize Fox News and other ultra-conservative information outlets for distorting the truth, focusing on incidental matters, or selectively reporting so as to smear the character or history of progressives--but how readily Post columnists dig their hands into the slop bin when they scent slim in the past of a candidate they have judged extreme. Often, one can judge by the inanity and vitriol of comments (not necessarily among the posters on this article) responding to Post pieces how low this paper's readship has fallen. I am finding less and less reason to read the Washington Post. How sad.

I do, however, think that Bill Maher is an absolute jerk. Our culture views people like him as being "truth tellers", cutting edge, blah, blah, blah. Does anyone think this will bother the teaparty? She could have corpses in basement, it would not matter. She, like Palin and others, is their darling. They will ignore facts and rationalize a satan worshiper and anything else. Ha, even when the facts come out afterward, they don't care (when was that wedding day for Palin's daughter?).

So save your breathe those of you who think for yourselves. Its like talking to a brick wall when you expect irrational people to look at facts and rationalize them. Sort of like expecting them to rationalize loving the Constitution while saying the government should stop muslims from building a mosque where they want to. It all makes sense in their warped little minds.

So show up on election day and make sure the nuts don't get elected to government like they did back in 2000, 2002 and 2004. If anything we should have learned the nuts are out to run the country to save it for God, even if that means electing former satan worshipers because Sarah, the one who openly prayed to God to save us from witchcraft, says so.

"Witchy Woman"
by Don Henley and Bernie Leadon

Raven hair and ruby lips
sparks fly from her finger tips
Echoed voices in the night
she's a restless spirit on an endless flight
wooo hooo witchy woman, see how
high she flies
woo hoo witchy woman she got
the moon in her eye
She held me spellbound in the night
dancing shadows and firelight
crazy laughter in another
room and she drove herself to madness
with a silver spoon
woo hoo witchy woman see how high she flies
woo hoo witchy woman she got the moon in her eye
Well I know you want a lover,
let me tell your brother, she's been sleeping
in the Devil's bed.
And there's some rumors going round
someone's underground
she can rock you in the nighttime
'til your skin turns red
woo hoo witchy woman
see how high she flies
woo hoo witchy woman
she got the moon in her eye

Now we have O'Donnell speaking about how she was involved in Wiccan. I wonder if she saw the Devil from that altar.

I just don't get it. What exactly are her accomplishments and contributions that have her so uniquely qualified to decide on where and when you commit my son to combat? I accept the fact that she is probably a very nice person and someone I actually might like as a friend and neighbor but for the life of me I could never envision going to someone like her for financial advice, or on advice on which lawyer to select, or which home to buy or any other decision I would make as a parent or a soldier or husband or as a taxpayeing citizen. So how in the world is she qualified to run for the Senate of this great country? It is insane. Any of you who support her ask yourself the same questions. You would go this woman for advice on what issue? I challenge any of you to look me in the eye and tell me you would trust O'Donnell with providing you advice on life's major issues.

Rather than discrediting her, I think this tape shows her to be what most people of her young age were like in 1999 -- curious, silly, annoying, and funny.
Whatever the full context of this videotape held by Mouthy Mahr, she clearly did not fit the image he is trying to project. Instead, she was a funny, "there are no secrets" kind of girl -- How old was she? 20 years old?
Get a grip, Mahr and DeLong. This is not a "smoking gun."
Now, fair and balanced, show a few of Obama's smoky, drug-induced euphoria pictures from his college days (I've seen one such pic) -- if there are any remaining "unsealed" of our COM. iN CHEIF.

Rather than discrediting her, I think this tape shows her to be what most people of her young age were like in 1999 -- curious, silly, annoying, and funny.

Thank you -- perfectly stated.
Any legitimate criticisms of this woman, her youthful "history", or her missteps pale in comparison with those "earned" by Obama. His "history" both known and unknown, the lack of experience, the "in your face" decisions (Obamacare, bribes, disregard for process and taxpayers) and the utter non-stop self-promotion have added up to "change" we don't want and definitely cannot afford.

This thread is ridiculous. Did anyone read the story or watch the video? The video clearly picks up in the middle of the conversation with everyone laughing. We have no idea what the context of the comments is - a true story? - one of a series of silly tales by the show panelists? This woman could be a major goofball ot the people here may be so desperate to destroy her that they don't care what the context was.

Re: TRAINED TO RULE. THE CFR
'The main purpose of the Council on Foreign Relations is promoting the disarmament of U.S. sovereignty and national independence and submergence into an all powerful, One World Government.'
- Admiral Chester Ward, former CFR member and Judge Advocate General of the U.S. Navy
The Council on Foreign Relations (CFR) conspiracy has infiltrated all elements of American society. It's agents are in the school system, media, and government. The CFR began in 1921 and has been working ever since at destroying the minds, morals, and liberty of the American people.
In order to rise to the office of President today, a person must be picked by the elite banking cabal. He (or she) must be approved and trained by a CFR 'adviser'. Once proven that this person will do the bidding of the elite, that person is propped up as the next savior (president). This person is nothing but a puppet, not a 'leader of the People'.

Who the heck was Obama before being taken under the wing of the CFR? How do you think Bill Clinton became president?

'The Council on Foreign Relations (CFR) is the American Branch of a society which originated in England... (and)...believes national boundaries should be obliterated and One-World rule established.'
- Carroll Quigley, member of Council on Foreign Relations (CFR), mentor to Bill Clinton
TRAINED TO RULE. DOES YOUR VOTE COUNT AT ALL?
Planning to vote for one of these people? Great. just understand that they're all members of the CFR, which is telling them to work toward weakening your freedom in the name of a New World Order. Your vote really means zippo (unless you vote for someone other than a Republican or Democrat).

Fred Thompson
Rudy Giuliani
John McCain
Mitt Romney
Jim Gilmore
Newt Gingrich
Hillary Clinton
Barack Obama
John Edwards
Joe Biden
Chris Dodd
Bill Richardson

TRAINED TO RULE. BILDERBERG
Another important entity that reigns over those who are trained to rule by the CFR is the Bilderberg Society.

Make sure the candidates and incumbents, you vote for in November this year and in 2012, do not belong to any of the Global Elitist Organizations: Bilderberg Group, Trilateral Commission, Council on Foreign Relations, Club of Rome, Skull and Bones, Canadian Council of Chief Executives,
Harvard Elite Players, Goldman Sachs, International Monetary Fund, The United Nations, World Health Organization, World Trade Organization.

The reason we must vote out Establishment Government Representatives, whether they are Left or Right, Incumbent or Candidate is explained on this 2 minute News Clip below:

Aren't we not supposed to bring up that Obama went to a Muslim Madrassa when he was young? What's the difference?

Ridiculous. He was in Indonesia as a young boy. All Muslim schools could eroniously be labeled "madrassas" and you obvioulsy use the word as a short hand to saying "He was trained as a terrorist" when the literal translation is ""a place where learning/studying is done". " A school. A SCHOOL in another country. Get over it.

So.......you're saying he 'dabbled' in being in a madrassa? Hmmmm. Soooo....you're saying he was free to experience other spiritual vehicles? It would seem then, in all fairness, that O'Donnell mentioning somehting similar would be equally unindictable. Even Jesus faced this...and put Satan behind him. I'm sure as a clear-thinking individual you wouldn't succumb to the temptation of cheap character assassination and suggest that because O'Donnell let herself explore relationships with an open mind that she is some kind of creep. Tea Party Platform:
One in seven American’s living in poverty - to the Tea Party that’s 1-in-7 lazy Americans.
Man made global climate change? The communistic lies of a handful hippie scientists.
Foreign Policy? Bombs and bullets - hold the butter!
Poor immigrants yearning to be free? Anchor babies!
Equal rights for Gay people? Sodomy!
Medical care as a basic human right? Socialism! Communism!
Palliative care that increases quality of life and actually extends life? Death Panels!!!
One percent of the population that has accumulated more wealth in the past 30 years than any group ever in the history of the world? Cut their taxes!
First non-white President? Birth Certificate! Kenyan! Tyrant!
Department of Education? Starve it!
Social Security? End it!
Internal Revenue Service? Bomb it!
Department of Defense? Grow it! (so we can invade Iran)

Valid Inference from above:
Movement Conservatism means the killing of the inner man. And no matter what Beck says, no matter what lies the propagandists at Fox News tell, that’s what it comes down to. The inner man must be killed for the Tea Party monologue to be lodged in the soul.

Reading the local paper today (The Sydney Morning Herald) the most notable news was that a serial dog-poisoner was on the loose and outraged dog owners were furiously calling for action. So finding the news here about a woman, who'd be unelectable by any standards in any non-American modern society, has admitted to "dabbling in witchcraft" is extremely entertaining, and weird.

From waaay over here on the other side of "the big pond" America seems to be falling apart, and not just economically. It's clear from the type of candidates that are popping up everywhere that there's a disconnect between the informed and educated and the uninformed and uneducated. What's going on? I thought we'd seen the end of embarrassingly stupid Palin types after she pretty much took the prize for "dumbest candidate ever". But no, here we have a possibly even more embarrassing American standard. Who'd even admit to something as dumb as "dabbling in witchcraft"? I don't know anyone that thick and I've met some pretty dumb people.

I reckon she's probably not going to do well as even the Republican Fox News couldn't make her look any better than she looks right now, how embarrassing for Fox is that?

And this is why I have the Washington Post at the head of my speed dial, there's so much weird and whacky stuff happening in America you just can't go past it for entertainment.

I'm so glad that Miss O'Donnell is dodging the media here during her historic run (first non-masturbating former witch to run in Delaware). They would only ask her unfair questions like "is Africa a country or a continent", or "do you read anything?". Candidates as cute and perky as Ms. Palin and Ms. O'Donnell should not be required to answer anything substantive. It is enough that they believe in Freedom and want to "take our country back". That is what we Proud Tea Party Patriots want. Ordinary Americans with no particular qualifications but who are fun to look at on the TeeVee.

Of course, the mean librul media will insist on peppering her with wonkish, terrible questions about how to balance the budget without the rich paying any taxes - and other trick questions. She should run and hide in a cave until election day, when she comes out smiling for the cameras to cast her vote.

God Bless America

Apparently the witchcraft thing is an inside joke, because I'm having trouble understanding what the issue is.

Lots of upstanding pillars of society have dabbled in things, before realizing they weren't on the right path. They pulled themselves out of it, as did O'Donnell. Hers sounds more like a story of salvation than of something to chuckle about.

Note: I'm saying that as someone who really, really, really dislikes the teapartiers, as can be seen in my many dozens of posts about them here:

http://24ahead.com/s/tea-parties

In fact, this whole incident is an example of one of the reasons why I castigate the teapartiers: if they were smarter and saner they could have struck back against those smearing her. No on in the teaparties is smart and sane enough to rise to her defense in effective ways. All they're good at is waving signs and playing dress-up games like little children.

I'm really getting angry with the tea bag people who are shoving incompetent, uninformed, inexperienced, basket cases at the public. Do they really think so little of our country that want to elect these crazies? It's just plain insulting to my intelligence and that of the rest of the voters. Until the press puts her comments into context, you are missing the real story: That her "wacko" positions were that of the majority of americans up to the silly 1960's...and that ridiculing her positions means anyone holding conservative points of view will not get a fair shake in the press, nor will we be able to discuss if maybe, just maybe, restraining our sexual appetites might be good for our families and society.

This is the problem with American politics. Americans have many different opinions about politicians and the political process, but few of these opinions are informed. The serious economic conditions we face in the U.S. today are rarely discussed, but we can waste time and energy commenting on a candidate who claims she dabbled in witchcraft. What policies will she promote to improve conditions for all Americans? ASK HER A REAL QUESTION, AND LET'S SEE IF SHE CAN ANSWER IT!

Yes few remember the cult leader Jim Jones to led thousands to their death, but now we see many developing their own cult following and their followers ask no questions. Sarah a champion idiot has now so many so called adults following her she wants to be President. Terrorist are cheering and World Leaders are fighting as to who will over take the US once Sarah is elected. Law Makers are busy fighting for bribe money and Obama is working alone on the Economic Recovery. Media/reporters are paid to spread propaganda and keep the idiots in the headlines. Christine will collect enough money to live off of and laugh all the way to the bank.

No....it was January 2009 that the Democrats took over. And Bush vetoed virtually every attempt they made to fix the disaster he and the Republicans had created.

Not only that...the 2009 budget....which bled red ink...was BUSH'S budget.

And finally, $7.7 trillion of the deficits over the next ten years result from Bush/Republican borrowing and policies...while only $1.1 trillion of those deficits will result from Obama/Democratic policies. Bush and the Republicans mortgaged America to China by borrowing and NEVER making cuts to pay for it...while virtually EVERY time Obama and the Democrats have spent money...they've made cuts elsewhere to pay for it.

We'll be paying for the Bush/Republican fiscal irresponsibility for at least another decade...and Obama has to include those costs in HIS budgets.

If WaPo had spent as much time looking into Obama's past as their liberal journolistas have done on O'Donnell and Palin, our country wouldn't be in the mess we now find ourselves.

Just with Obama's close ties and "questionable" dealings with Rezko, Ayers, Auchi (Sadaam's arms dealer), Alsammarae, Khalidi, Mansour, Davis' (both Frank and Allison), there were hundreds of reasons why this man shouldn't have been President.

Now all the Journolistas do is cover his a** as he ruins our country and spew the WH talking points.

This is priceless... a MUST read. From CNN's AC360 last night:

"GARY TUCHMAN: We have documents right here that show Christine O'Donnell spent a lot of money on what appears to be personal effects, and it was not during a campaign, and it was campaign money. The spending of this money occurred three months after she lost to Joe Biden in 2008, a year before she announced she was going to run as a candidate in 2010.

Now, the FEC, the Federal Election Commission, allows you to spend money after a campaign to retire debt, but not to add to the debt. And she has lots of debt from 2008, which troubles a lot of people. They think it's hypocritical, because -- because she wants America to spend what it has. But let us show you some of these checks. You can decide for yourself if she should have written these checks from her campaign money. For example, a check for 475 bucks, she labeled it as mileage reimbursement. Remember, this is three months after the campaign is over. This means she drove hundreds of miles and she submitted this with campaign funding.

Also, $157 on a phone bill from Verizon Wireless; by all indications, this is her personal phone. Also, $28 at a gas station -- the gas station in the town where she's originally from -- Moorestown, New Jersey. She still has family there. This is campaign money. There's no campaign going on.

Six hundred dollars for her utility bill paid to Delmarva Power. Also, there are little piddly expenses, but increasing her debt. And these are very telltale. You wouldn't need to spend this for any campaign, let alone a campaign that is not going on anymore.

$19 at a place called the Pike Lanes. The Pike Lanes is a bowling alley. That would pay for about eight games of bowling.

Also $26 for a meal at Ruby Tuesday's restaurant -- campaign money once again.

And then she even used campaign money for a $2.84 charge at Staples. In addition, she paid rent money with her campaign funding.

Now, the home that she lives in right now, the townhome, doubles as her campaign headquarters; she lives there some time. So do her campaign workers. But this money for her rent was paid during a time when she was no longer in a campaign.

Now, we can tell you that her detractors say she does this because she hasn't had a real job for years. She has no source of income. She needs to live on campaign money.

Ok, so how was she allowed to get away with this?

ANDERSON COOPER: And who, during all this time, was the treasurer of her campaign?

GARY TUCHMAN: This is really interesting.

Under FEC laws, you must have a treasurer when you're spending campaign money. And according to the FEC document that we have investigated, for 13 months between July 2009 and between August 2010 while she was spending money, there was no treasurer."

The treasurer was Christine O'Donnell. That appears to have violated FEC laws, but the FEC has to determine that."

Hmmmmm... So to put it gently...she's a con-artist. THANK YOU, SARAH PALIN!!!

find it so amusing that a lot of the posters here cant defend this nonsense, so instead, they attack the President or the other candidate. Voting for an inexperienced, dishonest, looney... who likes to follow instead of lead is not going to make anything better.

Ms ODonnell probably will be like Sarah Palin, lose and get a Tv gig out of it. She could be the female Glenn Beck, say silly, simple minded things just for attention- and to make lots of money off of ignorants :)

What lackies.

If it's a choice between Christine or Coons, I'll take O'Donnell. Coons is a self-admited Communist sympathizer. She is not running for the presidency. Cut her a little slack. Remember, we elected Obama who attended a black nationalist, racist church for twenty years.

Yes, many of you are racists and bigots.

Most of you weren't concerned about these things when Bush was president.

I didn't see conservatives being concerned about Bush's overspending.

And most of you conservatives cheered when the Patriot act was passed even though that act has led to big government more than any other law.

You "concerned" conservatives didn't wake up to budget deficits, big government and illegals until after that black guy became president.

In the good old days, they knew how to determine if one was a witch. Consider the following interrogation:

Sir Bedevere: There are ways of telling whether she is a witch.

Peasant 1: Are there? Oh well, tell us.

Sir Bedevere: Tell me. What do you do with witches?

Peasant 1: Burn them!

Sir Bedevere: And what do you burn, apart from witches?

Peasant 1: More witches!

Peasant 2: Wood.

Sir Bedevere: Good. Now, why do witches burn?

Peasant 3: ...because they're made of... wood?

Sir Bedevere: Good. So how do you tell whether she is made of wood?

Peasant 1: Build a bridge out of her!

Sir Bedevere: But can you not also build bridges out of stone?

Peasant 1: Oh yeah.

Sir Bedevere: Does wood sink in water?

Peasant 1: No, no, it floats!...It floats! Throw her into the pond!

Sir Bedevere: No, no. What else floats in water?

Peasant 1: Bread.

Peasant 2: Apples.

Peasant 3: Very small rocks.

Peasant 1: Cider.

Peasant 2: Gravy.

Peasant 3: Cherries.

Peasant 1: Mud.

Peasant 2: Churches.

Peasant 3: Lead! Lead!

King Arthur: A Duck.

Sir Bedevere: ...Exactly. So, logically...

Peasant 1: If she weighed the same as a duck...she's made of wood.

Sir Bedevere: And therefore...

Peasant 2: ...A witch!

This method is infallible.

The Tea Party isn't a political governance movement. It is a White traditionalist reactionary protest movement. They have plenty to protest about. The end of the White majority is coming at a time when liberal Humanist academics have been assaulting the White race, its history, character and traditions. Since Whites aren't allowed to defend their race without charges of bigotry, the Tea Party has been inarticulate about the matter and often appear racist. No other race would be expected to bear in silence the left wing assault on their culture or having their childhood historical heroes dragged through the gutter.

The future of most members of the Tea Party has faded considerably in recent years. They have many legitimate grievances and issues.

Still, they are a temporary movement. They are at maximum growth. The country is losing older White people faster than she is making them. The historic costumes, flags and slogans tell the story.

The Tea Party wants to go back-to-the future. They are protesting their powerlessness at being disempowered and replaced. They are protesting the disrespect with which liberal Humanists treat their history and culture. The American event can't turn back. Han Lo Fong and Jesus Garcia and Saul Lipski in 2010 can't be Beaver, Wally and Ward Cleaver returned to 1955. The Tea Party is not the wave of the future; it's the wave of the past.

The lack of long term planning other than "shrink government" "lower taxes" and a handfull of slogans shows that there is no Tea Party plan or structure for governance. They may get one wish and end up as a stone wall in front of the runaway Obama Toyota, but other than altering histroric documents they don't offer much.

After 400 years, this is probably the last gasp of the White traditionalists. It isn't politics or principles that decide this one in the long run. It's demographics. Demographics say that it is impossible for this to be a lasting or growing movement. Every day Democrats go to baby showers while Republicans go to funerals.

And this is relevant how? How relevant is it that our current White House resident "dabbled" in cocaine?

It's relevant because people who believe in ghosts and demons don't belong in the Senate. They are nutcases.

"Christine O'Donnel is the gift that keeps on giving." "You go, girl!" You can't make up any of these revelations of character. She has cancled interviews on CBS's Face The Nation, and Fox News after rejoicing over her stunning upset over an unbeatable fellow Republican. I believe she and haron Shangle were twins separated at birth.

And to all the people who keep mentioning Obama and cocaine... GW Bush had that hobby, too.

This is great, it shows that she has a diverse, multi cultural background and doesn't look at things through just one point of view. Far better than Coons who has been a Marxist his entire life (self-admitted) and never explored other thoughts or beliefs.

Aren't we not supposed to bring up that Obama went to a Muslim Madrassa when he was young? What's the difference?

Posted by: mntx | September 18, 2010 11:43 AM

@mntx
The difference is one is true and one is a lie. Obama never attended a Madrassa. Unless she was lying, O' Donnell dabbled in witchcraft.

XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX

Not so fast. The point is that one was 'caught' and the other is still at large. The fact that Obama denies he went to a Madrassa doesn't mean he's telling the truth. YOU CHOOSE to believe him. As long as there is credible evidence to suspect he is lying, you can't rely on himself to say the truth is whatever he says.

If you choose to believe politicians, well, guess what? You are bound to be misled and proven to be a fool. Isn't there enough evidence to prove that politicians are liars? Why do you keep admiring these people who reached the pinnacle of power by lying? They were like you and me before they were elected. They are not special. Well, they are 'specially' liars.

Wow.

What a nut.

I had just the tiniest glimmer of hope that she might at least be better in the sense that she's not a professional criminal like most everyone already in Congress but ...

... wow.

I was wrong. At least the criminals have a method to their madness.

iS IT ME OR DO OTHER AMERICANS SEE WHATS GOING ON IN THIS COUNTRY. HOW IN OUR RIGHT MINDS CAN VOTERS EVEN CONSIDER HANDING OVER OUR GOVERNMENT TO THESE WACKO TEA PARTY CANDIDATES?

I MEAN, ITS ONE THING TO BE ANGRY AT WHAT HAPPENED TO THIS COUNTRY WITH THE 2008 FINANCIAL MELTDOWN, BUT THINGS ARE HARD ENOUGH FOR PEOPLE AND THE WACKO (ANGLE FORM NEVADA, RAND PAUL, ODONNELL) ARE TALKING ABOUT GETTING RID OF EVERYHTING FROM SOCIAL SECURITY , MEDICARE TO THE DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION. WHAT SOLUTIONS TO THE ECONOMIC PROBLEMS DO THEY PROPOSE. THEY TALK OF WE THE PEOPLE BUT IF THAT INCLUDES ME, COUNT ME OUT.
THIS IS BIZARRE. THIS IS INSANE. IS THIS WHAT INDEPENDENTS SEE AS THE SOLUTION?

IF THE PEOPLE OF DELEWARE ELECT ODONNEL, THEY DESERVE WHAT THEY GET IN RETURN.

WHY THE PATHY OF THE MAJORITY OF AMERICANS? WE HAVE TO STOP THESE FEAR MONGERING, RACIST (YES THEY ARE RACIST) NO MIND CRAZIES. VOTE FOR ANYONE BUT THSE CRAZIES. GOD HELP US ALL.

I will take a normal, moderate candidate of either party over a wacko in the oppposite. To say, "Certainly a better choice than the corruption antics that Democrats normally dabble in" is laughable.

so far she has:
*Lied about having a college degree
*Had her house foreclosed on for non-payment and sold it to her boyfriend/ campaign manager
*Made $5500 last year and did not work
*Is a young earth creationist
*Was against any family planning and talked about the sins of masterbation
*Beyond the WICCAN witches, said "there's little blood there and stuff like that. ... We went to a movie and then had a midnight picnic on a satanic altar."
*Has no platform
