Rush Limbaugh and Terry Jones were high school classmates

Updated, 8 p.m.

Conservative radio talk show host Rush Limbaugh and the Florida pastor who threatened (is threatening?) to burn Korans, Terry Jones, were high school classmates.

Politics Daily reports that the two attended Cape Central High School in Cape Girardeau, Mo. According to a Web site by someone who says he also went to the school:

Rush Limbaugh USED to be Cape Girardeau's most prominent export. One of his classmates from the Central High School Class of 1969 is dominating the news right now: Terry Jones, the Gainesville, FL, preacher who is threatening to hold an "International Burn a Koran Day" on September 11.

Former classmates recalled the famous and now-infamous alums in comments on the school's Web site:

Van Riehl noted, "I think this guy may have been on my Babe Ruth team, The Mets. Interestingly enough so was Rush Limbaugh. "

Gregg Hopkins said, "I knew him the early 70s. He graduated from Central (I think) in 69. He was a funny, friendly guy back then, when he was dating my friend, Lisa. My how the years change some people. Every picture I've seen of him, he's wearing an intense scowl.

Limbaugh already has mentioned this on his show -- with amusement, perhaps in expectation, now fulfilled, that WaPo will jump at it.

You pig! Interesting how you point this fact out that this preacher went to the same high school as Rush Limbaugh during the same time period that Rush attended the same school. That according to Rush, is as far as the relationship went. Unlike our president, "Barrack Hussein Obama", who perhaps never went to high school with terroists like Bill Ayers and Bernardine Dohrn, but definitely, as well as overwhelmingly documented, has worked professionally and enjoyed the company personally with both of them. Let's see, the preacher from Florida has talked about burning the quran while forty years ago, both Bill and Bernardine were actively bombing and killing Americans in New York and Virginia. Somehow you don't want to talk about that. You want to talk about how this preacher is talking about burning books that nobody in this country could give a flying f@*k about and tie him to Rush Limbaugh due to the fact that they both came from the same town and the same period of history, but you are more than willing to overlook the fact that Barrack Obama's political career started in the living room of Bill Ayers and Bernardine Dohrn!!!! Like I said you f*@!ing pig. How about you report for the Americans instead of the communist pigs in Washington.

Obama also has alot of friends in the muslim community that where brought up as co-conspirators in the 1993 bombing and the 9-11 terrorist attack. I'm sure he is friends with Kalid Sheik Mohammed. You libs better bend over and kiss your terrorist sympathizing butts goodbye because the republicans are back.

Obama was friends with a rabid racist and black liberation follower and he was with him for 20 years. It sounds like Rush doesn't even know this goofball and he doesn't agree with the koran burning, he made that clear. Obama is friends with a person that literally bombed a government building and then threw him off the bus. You guy's just opened a can of worms and this will back fire on the media.

The media refused to seriously look into Obama's background, the 20 years he sat in the pews of Reverand Wright's radical church, his political skullduggery in Chicago, his affiliation with a number of 60's radicals, one a convicted terrorist, but...quickly notices the coincidental connection between Rush Limbaugh and a high school classmate? The only link--they went to the same high school?

Main stream press--find some integrity.

To cbl22: To blame blame only Obama for the debt problem is simply absurd. George W Bush cut taxes while increasing spending on wars, the part "D" prescription drug benefit written by drug lobbyists, and big oil subsidies of $60 billion per year. Sure, endemic corruption on the part of both parties is to blame, but the Republicans are FAR more responsible than the Democrats.

Obama's pandering (middle class tax cuts) is a shame. At some point we are going to have to pay the piper, because now, our tax rates are smaller than they have been since before World War Two!

Get real. Time to raise taxes to put us back on the road to recovery, and to make America a leader again. NO FREE LUNCH, KIDDIES!

It appears that people from Rush's High School are far more prominent than Graduates from underperforming Washington DC high schools. Perhaps the fact that some people who graduated from DC high schools work for the Washington Post suggest that there is more to learn about the real motivations of the Washington Post editors and management. hmm hmm ...

Wow Chis, that Rush Limbaughsure did know some really bad people 40 years ago doesn't he.

Let's see, did Terry Jones bomb the pentagon and plan to overthrow the government and exterminate 20% of the U.S. population? Nope, that was William Ayers and his wife Bernadette Doarn, neighbors, co-worker's, board members, and long time friends of your savior Obamessiah.

Let's see, did Terry Jones preach in his church that the government created HIV to kill off african americans? Or did he preach for God to damn America, or for God to damn the KKK of America? Did Terry Jones give the Trumpeter Award to a man it said "truly epitomized greatness." That man is Louis Farrakhan? No, that was Pastor Jeremiah Wright the Obamessiahs pastor and spiritual advisor for over 20 years.

Maybe for Wright and some others, Farrakhan "epitomized greatness." For most Americans, though, Farrakhan epitomizes racism, particularly in the form of anti-Semitism. Over the years, he has compiled an awesome record of offensive statements, even denigrating the Holocaust by falsely attributing it to Jewish cooperation with Hitler -- "They helped him get the Third Reich on the road." His history is a rancid stew of lies.

So lets sum this up so all of your pseudo-intellectual readers can understand this Chris!!!!

Who should we be more concerned about?

Rush Limbaugh who attended the same high school for 4 years 40 years ago with a pastor who wants to burn some korans in protest to Muslim insensivity to 911 victims?
or

Your Savior Hussein Obamessiah who is best friends with a known unrepentent terrorist, and who also sat in the church pews of Jeremiah Wright an American hater, racist, jew hater, and holocost denier for 20 years within the last 2 years? I forgot to add that your savior claims he sat in Wrights church for 20 years and never heard him preach anything.

Who should we be more concerned about Chis? Rush Limbaugh or your savior Obamessiah?????

I know this is probably not an important fact but I bet some of your readers might be interested."

You're right: the fact that Jones and Limbaugh went to the same high school is irrelevant — there are morons at every high school, and some of them attend simultaneously.

However, the fact that the woman you describe is a Muslim also is irrelevant. There are sick, twisted psychos in every religious faith, and some who are atheists, too. Someone who kills is a killer, but not because of chosen faith or skin color or political belief.

The two stnadard arguments for a progressive liberal.

1) Your a racist if you don't agree with my enlightened viewpoint.

2) Your brainwashed by Rush Limbaugh if you don't agree with my enlightened viewpoint.

The two standard arguement for a neocon

1) You must hate our country if you don't agree with my logical viewpoint.

2) Our country will cease to exist if the current democratic leadership gets their way.

Who's worse then, progressive liberals of noecons???

Answer: They are both low life fearmongers who manipulate simple people to stay in power.

The best kept secret in the US, Hatesville-
did Rush Lambauch pay his good friend terry jones to extort the citizens of the United States of America? Terry Jones is holding hostage 330 million citizens of the US until his ransom note is met. He is declaring to burn Islam's holy book because -- -- who knows he wants money, fame, or because Rush told him to? This man is either slow or he is being paid by Lambaugh because it took a long time for him to react to 9/11.

Terry Jones has put the lives of all American soldiers at risk as well as all Americans traveling aboard. His selfish and hateful actions are unforgivable. He should be held accountable to the American people if any teriorist actions takes place as a result of this horse and pony show.
