O'Donnell video: The tax man cometh

A new web video from Christine O'Donnell's campaign follows in the footsteps of other Republican clips by taking on the guise of a movie preview. So sit back, pop some popcorn and get ready to get scared out of your tax bracket.

The video was posted to YouTube on Monday and doesn't show a trace of the tea party-backed Republican candidate. There is no candidate-approval message, and all of the claims in the ad go by source-free. The announcer, who sounds like every dramatic/thriller movie announcer you've heard , intones:

'In America, where jobs are being lost and wages cut, in Delaware where the economy is suffering and families are losing their homes there was one man who stood against the tide and raised taxes. One man who thought that a 911 call should be taxed. One man who thought property taxes should be hiked almost 50 percent. One man who, as county executive, drove Newcastle county on the brink of bankruptcy. Hide your will. Hide your lights. 'Cause he's taxing everything out here. Chris Coons is the tax man."

The ad then shows a link to a website that goes on to claim that Coons "taxes your toilet," "taxes your grass," and "taxes your grandma."

Another think. Obama gain the general election with the 52% of the vote and 48% do not vote for him and he said that he will unite us and work with everybody and 10 days after the gain make all the contrary and now the country is more divided that any time in history, and all the democrats can do is dirty campaigns and lies. What a waste of time and energy. Also Obama using the Presidency resources has a lunch in Miami, dinner in Ohio, Beakfast in California what is that the country bankrupcy and this president travel all the country spend millons of tax money for campaing. Wake up Mr Obama and do the job that the 52% elect you.

Jan1977,

It's funny. You call dems cold-hearted. Dems? Dems are the ones who'd prefer to tax the wealthy a bit, and pay a bit more taxes ourselves, to help the needy. Repubs are the ones who fight that every step of the way. Who is cold-hearted again?

Tax the evangelical, Mormon, Donohue Catholic and Westboro Baptist churches who fraudulently claim tax exemptions while funding and organizing homophobia, xenophobia and divisive religious teabagger political wedge issues.

Speaking of not paying taxes, I recall several Obama appointees having to admit they didn't pay taxes....come to think of it, Obama didn't need to pay taxes prior to his one year in the senate...he never had a real job until getting the senate gig...It's all coming back to haunt us now....clearly Obama is way over his head in his current job. Looking back, Hilary would have been the better choice for democrats

Like O'Donnell would know anything about paying taxes. She's hasn't had a job for so long that she hasn't paid any taxes for years. Given the figures I've seen for her earnings she probably qualifies for the low income Earned Income Tax Credit. As it is she's in the 47% that pay NO Taxes that the TPers are so loathe to wail about.

If your daughter was a Witch you'd support her.
Come on Liberals, admit it.

Why is this SO hard for Conservatives to understand? It's not that Liberals wouldn't support their daughters or your daughter, it's that Conservatives would tar and feather a Liberal who had tried out witchcraft.

It's as naive, as dishonest, as meaningless as the Christine O'Donnell slapper herself.

Such hatred.

Pretty hilarious.

I just wish that Nancy Pelosi would do an "I'm not a witch" commercial.

So what else is new ? More lies , distortions and another smear campaign , it's all the Republicans and the right wing have to offer , they can't win on the merits , they can't win with the truth and the facts , they have to lie , like Joesph Goebbels said , lie , repeat the lie over and over and the lie will become the truth , people will believe . And he was right , it's still true today , ignorant fools believe ... and they will be the down fall of this country .You are 100 % on the money "thebobbob" , that's the God's honest truth .
