Obama to extend vacation by a day

By Perry Bacon Jr.

He must be having fun at the beach and on the golf course.

President Obama is extending his vacation in Hawaii an extra day, the White House announced Wednesday. He will now depart the evening of Jan. 3, arriving in Washington the afternoon of Jan. 4.

The change will give Obama nearly two weeks off, which was his original intent. He delayed leaving for his trip because Congress was still in session working on several bills that the president had described as major priorities.

"He's just trying to squeeze in more time with his family," White House spokesman Bill Burton said in explaining the change.

You have a country in trouble and you're out there fooling around. You should be in D.C. fixing the problems everyone else is having.

He needs additional time to finish rereading the Koran and Mao's little red book. After all, he is the first and last Marxist, Muslim apologist, Mulatto to occupy the white house.

To the string of hatred spiked with outrageous fallacies of idiotic posters that say the President should stay one more year vacationing in Hawaii, I have some news: the President still have 24 months and 20 days to go; and for your extreme desperation, he will be re-elected for 48 more months, so relax and get used to that otherwise you will have a heart attack in a short time.

So,why not just pay Barack Hussein Obama the rest of his salary as President and let
him stay on over Hawaii as a private and totally unemployable person? Since it is highly questionable if VP Joe Biden could
mess things up anymore then Obama already has done so and just don't forget that Nutty Nancy Pelosi is no longer Third in
Line of Presidential Succession, but the New
Speaker of the House David Boehrer is now
the Third in Line okay folks? Dang if I can
ever remember how to spell his name right.
But at least he isn't Nancy Pelosi our other American Nightmare along with both
Barack Hussein Obama and Janet Napolitano.
Please,pretty please 2012 get here!

It is so typical of this President to take a lavish vacation at great expense to taxpayers at a time when millions of Americans are out of work or struggling to survive. Many families had little or no Christmas and this President takes the family and the White House staff on a long joy ride.

Is the extra day necessary to look for the birth certificate?

I have no problem with the President's taking all the vacation time he wants. The wherewithal to do his job is with him 24/7. I do question his decision to have his daughters skip two days of school so that he might golf and play more basketball in the sun. Even more so, I question Sidwell's putting up with it. Were I the headmaster, I'd send on a friendly note to the Obamas saying that when family vacation plans take precedence over their childrens' education, then, perhaps, the parents might need to look for a more accommodating school. But, maybe no one bothers to attend class at Sidwell for a week or so after vacations, and the school does accommodate by not bothering to teach anything of importance.

According to reports (but certainly not here in the worshipful WAPO), this *latest* obama getaway cost taxpayers well in excess of $1 million. Could he care any less about 10 percent unemployment? No, not as long as he can bilk the taxpayer for everything he can -- whether it's paying illegal aliens a living or catering to his ego on extravagant trips. Sure. What's another day?

So,prehaps Sandy5274 has hit the nail right
on the head,as these newly forged various
documents about Barack Hussein Obama must be totally accurate in order to continue the George Soros/Barack Hussein Obama Scam
Presidency and keep the Republicans from even investigating this massive forgery so
yes indeed Barack Hussein Obama has to be
sure they were done right before he can even hand them over to the New Democrat Governor of Hawaii to complete the biggest
total scam and charade in US history.

bigbird 1323; Were you ashamed when these type comments were direct at George Bush when he was President? And not only was it bloggers that said these type things, it was also the Speaker of the House and Senate that chimed in with hateful rhetoric.

I'm truly ashamed as I read these comments--ashamed of the lack of respect due our president, the number of idiotic comments, the hate and distortions displayed in these comments. I'm also very dismayed at the stupidity I see here--the lack of sound reasoning, the blaming statements that show such irrational thinking and comments based on nothing of substance but rather ignorance and hate.

How have we become a nation of so many people who are blinded to the truth by half-truths, innuendo, and blasphemy? It's so very sad to see the comments of such extremists who don't see that those who disrespect others are the ones undeserving respect themselves.

HOW SAD TO SEE HOW FAR SO MANY HAVE STOOPED DUE TO PERSONAL BIAS & MISINFORMATION. GOD HELP AMERICA FOR WHAT IT IS BECOMING!

I think the right wingers in this country have indeed, gone off the deep end. They seem to be acting like 5 year olds with totally blank memories and their only needs are for INSTANT gratification. Just like babies with diapers full of crap.

President Obama is a long-term thinker, and that is something that seems to escape his detractors because they don't understand it. What is really sad is that they don't have any desire to educate themselves so they WOULD possibly understand it.

Obama and his administration has worked their tails off for the last two years trying to put this country on a positive path after the utter destruction of our great country by the policies of the current and recent GOP.

I used to vote for GOP senators, congressmen and presidents most election years, but the total decimation of the middle class (the spine of our country for many many years)by the right wing policies have changed my political viewpoints. The GOP has been steadily going the way of only the millionaires and billionaires of our country for three decades now, yet their blind followers always spew their garbage about the "good old days."

Those "good old days" were the days when our middle class was STRONG and vibrant, and if you folks can't see that you've been voting against your own (and our Founding Fathers) best interests, well it's hard to see that there's any hope for us.

I thank God that every day, sane people are seeing it more and more clearly . . . and the GOP itself is almost the opposite of what it stood for in long-past decades.

Abraham Lincoln, the founder of the Republican party, is spinning in his grave in Springfield Illinois to see what his party has become. They wouldn't know "patriotism" if it smacked them in the face.

Hang in there Democrats and Progressives. . . as an optimist, I do believe that we will find our way back eventually. At least we're not the nastiest, most corrupt party this country has experienced.

I hope President Obama enjoys his much-deserved Hawaiian vacation. You critics are nothing but a bunch of sniping idiots.

If he extends his vacation by a whole year, he might have a chance at catching up to the amount of vacation days that GWB took.

His family lives in the White House with him. And they are also not on the golf course with him--that's something he does just for himself and, of course, it excludes all females. Oh, and he needs to finish reading about Ronald Reagan, so he can finish his transition to REPUBLICAN/democrat and maybe launch some Reaganomics for the economy. Do us a favor, just stay in Hawaii.

Extend his vacation!! HE is using OUR tax money for his personal enjoyment..

He has NOT done anything to improve our economy and all he does is go for vacation and parties.... USING out TAX money!

What kind of president is he?

Where the &^%* was Obama during the snow storm???

Bush was there for Katrina, helping the Louisiana governor and New Orleans mayor, but Obama plays golf.

Posted by: fury60 | December 30, 2010 5:08 AM | Report abuse

So,the reason der glorius leader Messiah Barack Hussein Obama is taking an additional day vacation in Hawaii all comes
down to the fact his newly created forged
documents such as his real birth certificate, passports, college transcripts etc could not be flown out to Obama in Hawaii from Washington DC due to the blizzard conditions grounded all flights out of Washington DC as well.

And,of course Barack Hussein Obama wanted to see them personally before letting the new Democrat Governor of Hawaii release them to the newsmedia so Obama can be sure
the new forgeries are exactly as Obama ordered them to be here now then.

Can't we pass on 2011 and go directly to
Election Day 2012 so we vote Obama out?

Posted by: sandy5274 | December 30, 2010 4:57 AM | Report abuse

I am so glad that Obama is going to have an extra day of vacation because the vanquished congresspeople took an extra day to pass legislation that is not wanted by the people and will now take the new elected congress a long time to undo.

I am thrilled that his golf swing is better. That will really help us create jobs and reduce the deficit.

So,why don't we get our worthless US Congress to simply pay the Vacationer in Chief Do Nothing Barack Hussein Obama to stay on vacation until 2013 and be done with it as the USA has already proven it can function very well without even having
anyone in the Oval Office of the White House as well. Isn't it 2012 yet by now?

LOL!! I am glad you are happy with the effort Obama has put in toward lowering unemployment. I guess he deserves an extra day, I mean how much worse can it get! Unemployment going up AFTER he said we needed to pass the stimulus bill, which he said wouldn't get any higher than 9% if we did nothing. Interesting economic work Obama! You might as well stay in Hawaii, the country was doing just fine before you desided we needed hope and change!

??????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????

The only jobs President Obama can create are government jobs and you people would have a fit if he did that. I am curious though, 1.4 million jobs were created by American companies over seas this past year. These are jobs that if created here in our country would have lowered the unemployment rate to something like 8.9%. These companies have had the benefit of the Bush tax cuts for over 10 years now. They are sitting on record profits. Republicans in Congress held America hostage until they were given an extension on these tax cuts. Why aren't any of you whining, bi!ching and moaning about that? Why aren't you demanding that these American companies be held accountable. Makes me believe that you people only care as long as you can vilify the President . But hey, next week we will all see if the Republicans you people rewarded for doing absolutely nothing but try and destroy President Obama and our country will find those jobs, fix the economy and do all the things you all wouldn't give President Obama time to do.

Tis the season to be merry. Cut the man some slack. If I were the President of anything I too would be taking 2 weeks off at this time of the year. No one else in working in DC what is he supposed to be doing? I am quite sure he is not lolly-gagging-around. There is much going on behind the scenes that has to do with the running of the nation
that he is attending to.
I would like to see Congress this year doing a years worth of work and earning their salary!
HAPPY 2011 EVERYONE!!!!
Be optimistic next year has to be better find a way to improve the smallest of things if we all do this it will indeed be a good year.
