Bush had no skills at all going into the office except running businesses into the ground. He then ran the US into the ground. Obama is a breath of fresh air.

Can't wait for this exciting news on how he is going to squeeze the middle class so they can repay the debts that federal, state, and local governments has created. The rebuttals will be intriguing as well, we can hear their arguments of how they think they should stick it to us.

Check Fact Checker on this site for how he did based on his last speech.

Health care? Yes
Don't Ask Don't Tell? Yes
Financial Reform? Yes
Cash for Clunkers? Wow, we seem to forget what a great "government program" that was - nobody talks about it.
TARP? Mostly paid back
Takeover of GM? Just went public, now profitable.

Yes Gitmo is still open, but the process of trying to close it made it much less of an issue with those outside the US.

Iran? Combat operation finished.
Afganistan? Still going but the end is beginning to materialize.

Immigration - incomplete
Energy - incomplete

Economy - growing steadily but slowly

It has taken him two years to learn the job but he has accomplished astonishing things when you think about it. It will be harder now that the House is Republican but maybe he can do the Clinton thing and use it to his advantage - and to our country's benefit.

I would like the President to tell us that he has successfully completed some leadership courses as well as basic business and economics courses.

He was woefully lacking in skills when he took office so I hope he is trying to improve.

Remember Gitmo? Closed right? Not! How about Immigration, especially the illegal variety? He promised to close the border, fix the fourteenth amendment, and stop the abuse of welfare, none have been addressed. He did offer the ‘Dream Act’ to legalize ’20 million’ well he admits 20 now was only 10 when first started talking about it. But let us be real for a minute, corporations do not change their packaging for ten or even twenty million customers. 50 to 100 million you bet they will pander too! You can not get a warehouse, fast food, DMV, and the list goes on job without being bilingual. No it is definitely more like 100 million illegals in this country and they know it! No Obama will not do one thing he says in the speech so why bother watching him lie!

Obama has not addressed one campaign promise to date so why believe anything he has to say? Rhetoric and speeches he is very good at. Actually doing what he says he is going to do, don’t hold your breath! Promised to help middle class hard working Americans during campaign, called us ‘deadbeats’ once in office. Told us he would work on economy and jobs for the middle class; once in office, gave billions to the rich bankers and greedy corporations while turning his back on the middle class, ‘It is a global economy so you have to find new careers.’! Never has there been a more double crossing politician in history and there have been some bad ones! Never has a greedy politician given more to the rich, but watch Obama’s campaign coffer grow. How many millions have the rich and greedy given the liar back! No I do not care anything about Obama’s lies and I will not be watching his (what did George Will call it?) Pandering to everyone’s erroneous zones, something like that!

There is nothing unique about Obama anymore. He is just another republican claiming he is black. Americans should have recognized when he was on the veteran affairs committee as senator.

His mistakes and missteps have been costly to the American working class he claims to support. When in reality he is just another Harvard hack in place in the White House doing Wall Street bankers bidding.
