Gabrielle Giffords will attend husband's space shuttle launch in April, aide says

By Emi Kolawole

Rep. Gabrielle Giffords (D-Ariz.) will attend the launch of the space shuttle Endeavor in April, says spokesman C.J. Karamargin, according to CNN.

Karamargin said Giffords, who was wounded in the January shooting in Tucson, will attend the April 19 shuttle launch. Her husband, Mark Kelly will command the shuttle.

The Associated Press cites a source speaking anonymously regarding the family's decision:

A person with direct knowledge of the decision told The Associated Press that U.S. Rep. Gabrielle Giffords will attend the launch of her husband's space shuttle in April. The person spoke on condition of anonymity because the family and doctors have not yet publicized the decision. A news conference was scheduled for Friday at the Houston hospital where Giffords is undergoing rehab.

Soon Arizona will need to review their Constitution and place someone to represent them.
Giffords need the time to heal, and they deserve representation that can do the job.

In a few years Giffords will be able to run again.

Too many miracles to make sense after a while, cloud the reality of the injury.
When time is the way to heal, the people have to let go and give it.
