Rough Draft: Bad Parents
Here's Sunday's Rough Draft, about our need to reprimand bad parents and the pleasures derived therein. The column is kind of an overblown anecdote, but then perhaps that's true of my entire life.
Von Drehle got 10 correct out of the 15 unidentified excerpts in yesterday's blog. I may have helped him a tiny bit on a couple at the beginning. (Hint: A writer can be represented more than once.) He didn't like the first line about the coin and there was some discussion about whether the line about the moon is overwritten. I'll identify the authors in a day or so.
There's a story in today's paper by Mary Beth Sheridan about how the former DC public schools chief of facilities has been arrested and charged with helping terrorists. At trial I hope someone points out that schools have also had terrible problems with leaky roofs. I say throw the book at 'im.
