A transitional moment
There are only two seasons: Hot and cold. Everything else is transitional. The four-seasons concept is a marketing invention. The hemisphere leans toward the sun, then leans away. There are some in-between moments, to be sure, but they're not "seasons."...

Enterprising chemistry majors at Georgetown
I know i'm getting old because when I read about the freshmen busted for running a drug lab in a dorm at Georgetown University, I don't automatically and instinctively side with the students on account of their being enterprising...
