Pasta With Tomatoes and Honey Mustard Sauce is a winner -- and a healthful recipe to boot. (James M. Thresher for The Washington Post)
You might not have to go to the store for this week's recipe: Pasta With Tomatoes and Honey Mustard Sauce uses pantry ingredients (and comes together in 20 minutes).
The recipe's from Top Tomato 2009 finalist Greg Fontenot of Woodlands, Tex. Here's what you need:
12 ounces dried penne pasta, preferably whole-wheat (may substitute thin spaghetti)
3 tablespoons olive oil
3 medium cloves garlic
8 Roma tomatoes
8 large basil leaves
1 1/2 tablespoons balsamic vinegar
2 tablespoons honey
2 tablespoons Dijon-style mustard
Salt
Freshly ground black pepper
