Maccheroni With Sweetened Broccoli
4 servings

A green-grape puree makes all the difference.


12 ounces dried maccheroni or tubetti pasta (narrow, straight-sided)

1 cup seedless green grapes

1/2 red onion

1 medium (about 10 ounces) broccoli crown

3 tablespoons olive oil

Freshly ground black pepper

1/4 cup golden raisins

1 cup dry white Italian wine

2 tablespoons pine nuts

3/4 cup freshly grated pecorino Romano cheese
