Well, Bowl Me Over

A set of Market Bowls could brighten your kitchen (and cooking). (CrateandBarrel.com)
Notice the green bowls cradling today's Veggie Slaw? They're from Crate and Barrel and I had to have them. Besides being generally predisposed to liking things in those shades, I admire the bowls for these reasons: They stack, nested, for easy storage. They're utilitarian but handsome enough to use as serving pieces. They're made of sturdy propylene, with a nonslip, silicone bowl rest on the bottom. All three sizes (8 3/4", 7 3/4', 6") have a pour spout and matching lid. They are stain-resistant, dishwasher- and microwave-safe. Oh yes: The lids are designed to cover the pour spouts.
The very friendly CandB staffers at the Spring Valley store in Northwest Washington tell me these bowls have been flying out the door. The set of 3 bowls costs $12.95 and the set of 3 lids costs $6.95.
