Rate Hikes Generate Ad

It didn't take long for electricity rate hikes facing Maryland homeowners (as much as 72 percent for Baltimore Gas & Electric's customers and a proposed 39 percent for Pepco's) to become fodder for partisan politics in Annapolis.
Now the Maryland Democratic Party has ratcheted up the fight, taking to the airwaves with a new radio ad laying the blame squarely on Republican Gov. Bob Ehrlich and the Public Service Commission he appoints.
"Putting special interests ahead of Maryland families: It's the Ehrlich way," the ad states.

I'm a true blue Democrat, but I have to say that this kind of partisan game is dishonest. Democrats and Glendenning got us into this mess (with the aid of the Republican minority) and they need to take some responsiblity. Not that I think the Republicans would do any different as they are the masters of dirty political tricks and decipt, but I was at least expecting better from the Democrats. For shame!
