Mikulski Joins Clinton Team

Sen. Barbara Mikulski will serve as a co-chairwoman of Hillary Clinton's 2008 presidential campaign, the Maryland Democrat announced yesterday.

"Hillary is the leader who will put this nation back on track, whether it's ending the war in Iraq, providing educational opportunities for our children, restoring our standing in the world or addressing our increasing deficit," Mikulski said in a statement. "She works every day to advance women's rights, by standing up for the women's basketball team at Rutgers and leading the legislative effort for equal pay to become a reality for women."

Elected to the Senate in 1986, Mikulski previously served 10 years a congresswoman from the Baltimore area. She was the first Democratic woman elected to the Senate in her own right. Clinton, the former first lady, was elected a senator from New York in 2000 and won re-election last year.

This brings diversity to the campaign: If you think Hillary is a shrill, hyper-partisan, sanctimonious gasbag senator, maybe Mikulski will be more to your liking...

Milulski will make Hillary look good just by standing next to her...

...in comparison, anyhow.

maybe she can help the Democrats carry Maryland in the general election. Unless, of course, the popular vote goes to the Republican, in which case, it doesn't matter how Maryland votes thanks to our constitutional scholars in the General Assembly.

When is Senator Mikulski going to give her own address about the increasing deficit along with ideas for cutting spending?

Hillary is a "Hurray for me, to hell with you" kind of person. She was when she was first lady and she would NOT be a good president. What, she didn't get enough of the furniture and dishes the first time around? My opinion is ANYBODY BUT HILLARY!!!

Furniture and dishes? Whoop-de-doo! How shallow can you get?!

What can we say, anonymous, the Clintons will steal anything not nailed down.

Billary is slated by the PTB to occupy the white house. Milkulski is just hitching her wagon onto the winning team with high hopes for her future.

The people no longer exercise influence in the political process as it has been co-opted by the owners of the fraudulent voting SYSTEM.
