Maryland Moment Relaunch

Maryland Moment is a blog about politics in The Free State. We'll keep you up to date on what's going on in Annapolis, and the Maryland suburbs outside of Washington D.C. I will be the primary editor of the blog. I am a long-time political reporter and editor.

The main contributors will be John Wagner and Lisa Rein, who work from The Post's Annapolis bureau, and Rosalind Helderman and Miranda Spivack, who are the lead government and politics reporters in Prince George's and Montgomery counties, respectively. Other Post reporters will contribute occasionally, as well. And Phyllis Jordan, the Metro Desk's Maryland editor, will also contribute occasionally, as an editor.

County Connections, a separate blog about news in the Maryland suburban jurisdictions will no longer be published. Instead, local items about politics will be rolled into Maryland Moment.

This blog will also serve as a forum for readers to discuss and debate the political news of the day in the state. We look forward to your informed comments, constructive criticism and hey, maybe even the occasional praise. We're also happy to take tips. News tips, not money, that is!

Mac,
Thanks for the copy editing tips. If you're ever looking for work....

Saqib,
Ovetta is in Prince George's, covering growth and development. She'll make guest appearances here.
