New Leaders for Montgomery Delegation
Montgomery County's delegation to the state Senate has two new leaders.
Sen. Rona E. Kramer (D) ascends to chairman of the delegation from second in command, replacing Sen. PJ. Hogan (D) who resigned from the Senate this summer to take a job with the University of Maryland. Sen. Richard S. Madaleno, Jr.(D) replaces Kramer as vice-chairman. The delegation voted Monday.
Kramer was elected to the Senate in 2002 and is a member of the Budget and Taxation Committee. Madaleno served four years in the House of Delegates before his election to the Senate last year. He also serves on the a Budget and Taxation Committee.
Their terms begin immediately.

Rona Kramer is a businesswoman. I don't think new taxes are first thing to pop into her head. Gargiola is pushing for a sales tax hike even though he didn't mention it at all in his l5 campaign mailings he sent to my home.

Senator Rob Garagiola was preening for this position.... as a stepping stone to the the Presidency of the Senate.....
That's why he pushed hard to get Nancy King into the Senate.... he thought she would vote for him.
