Maryland Moment gives you a preview every Monday of some of the political events coming up in the region. This week:

MONTGOMERY COUNTY

* The County Council's health committee today takes up a menu-labeling bill for a second time and will likely vote to send it on to the full council. The meeting will be on the third floor of the council office building, 100 Maryland Ave., Rockville.

* County Executive Isiah Leggett will host a public meeting on the Base Realignment and Closure (BRAC) with Maryland officials, including Lieutenant Governor Anthony Brown, on Thursday to discuss the impacts on Montgomery of significant planned expansion at Bethesda Naval Hospital. It will be from 10 to 11 a.m. at the University of Maryland Shady Grove Campus, 9630 Gudelsky Dr., Rockville.
