No action yet on the repeal of the computer tax which was passed without public hearings after being shepherded through by State Senator Rob Garagiola, Deputy Majority Leader, who was the deciding vote in a 24-23 vote in favor.

The problem is that any substitute may be passed without public hearings too. Like an even higher state income tax where Montgomery Countians would pay well over 50% or 60% of the bill while we are facing the largest property tax increase in 20 years in a recession.

I am interested in HB 549 and SB 625 that would exempt military retired pay from State income tax. I see nothing and hear nothing. What is happening with this proposed legislation?
