Obama Allegedly Seen At One Stop In Salisbury
Amid the weekend papers, the following letter to the editor, appearing in the Salisbury Daily Times, grabbed our attention:
"I wish someone would enlighten me as to why, at the One Stop Job Market on Route 50 in Salisbury, there is a picture of Sen. Barack Obama next to Gov. Martin O'Malley in the lobby area?
"As far as I know, Obama is surely not our president and the picture with O'Malley should be President George Bush.
"I think this state of Maryland-operated entity should get its facts straight and take down that Obama picture immediately. It is highly offensive and insulting to our president."
A phone call this morning confirmed our suspicions about whose photo actually appears alongside the governor at the One Stop Job Market.
"That is Lt. Gov. Anthony G. Brown," said Mike Raia, a spokesman for Brown.

I wonder what Obama thinks about the fact that people shopping in Salisbury have to pay a 6% Maryland sales tax, while a few miles away in Delaware there is NO sales tax at all? Where would he shop?

The great metropolises of Laurel, DE and Seaford, DE ("a few miles away") are not known as shopping meccas. Just a hunch, but if Obama were to be caught shopping in DE because it's tax-free, he'd be at the Rehobeth outlets (not exactly next door) instead of Salisbury.
Might help to spend some time in the area and learn about it a little more before making those kind of cracks, just as it might has served the bumpkin that wrote his letter to the Daily Times to know more about the elected officials of his State before making a fool of himself.
