From the Floor: Iraq Vet Heads to Convention

Sam White
Sam White is a Maryland alternate delegate to the Republican National Convention, who will be blogging from Minneapolis-St. Paul for Maryland Moment. He is from Odenton in Anne Arundel County.

Hello everyone! My name is Sam White and I am an Alternate Delegate from the great state of Maryland! I am really looking forwarding to experiencing what I am sure is to be one of the most exhilarating events that I have ever been a part of!

I am very humbled and honored to be respresenting Maryland's 3rd Congressional district in Minneapolis , and it is my hope to be able to paint a picture for you of the convention: its sights, scenes, people and events as we rally behind John McCain as the Republican Nominee for the Office of the Presidency.

Being a veteran of the war in Iraq, a small business owner, and a graduate student, I feel confident that I will be able to give you an honest, well-rounded peek at what we will be doing. You can expect honesty, humor, and excitement from my blog, and I hope that you will feel what I am feeling as I write each word!

John McCain's entire life has been dedicated to the service of our country. His character, honesty and hard work on behalf of this great nation is a testament to the will of the American spirit. From a POW camp in Vietnam, to the United States Senate, to accepting our party's nomination for President of the United States of America, John McCain has been a humble American Hero, and I am very excited to be there when he takes yet another step forward!

So please, visit my blog every morning to see through my eyes what is going on at our National Convention and watch for me in the stands, I will be the good looking guy in the suit!
