Hutchins Among Keith Olbermann's "Worst Persons"

Former Maryland Police Superintendent Thomas E. Hutchins won national recognition last night -- but not the kind one typically brags about.

Hutchins was designated as the runner-up for "Worst Person in the World," a nightly feature on Keith Olbermann's "Countdown" program on MSNBC.

The left-leaning Olbermann cited Hutchins' comments to a Maryland Senate panel this week in which Hutchins defended the police's classification of 53 nonviolent activists as terrorists and entered their names and personal information into state and federal databases that track terrorism suspects.

"I don't believe Mr. Hutchins realizes he was not working for the government of Russia," Olbermann said.

Hutchins, an appointee of former governor Robert L. Ehrlich Jr. (R), remained on the job during the first several months of the administration of Gov. Martin O'Malley (D). The surveillance that drew legislative scrutiny took place over 14 months in 2005 and 2006.

Last, Olbermann's "Worst Person" was Bobby May, the recently fired chairman of John McCain's campaign in Buchanan County, Va. May was dismissed for racist blog postings.

Olbermann's "Worst Pesons" segment can be viewed here.

there is no worse person than Keith Olbermann. He should be arrested for defamation of character and outright lies about people. I try not to watch NBC or it's affiliates or buy anything made by GE because of him and that carpet muncher Rachel Maddow.

Glad someone has the guts to take on the fascists @ Faux news.....

Hey tunaman, If Olberman is arrested for lies then McCain must be on death row by now.

Keith Olbermann has the best news show (hands down) on cable TV. Everything single thing that Mr. Olbermann says has been researched and can be backed up with fact. Of course, the person wanting to disprove something he said would (1) actually have some desire to learn the truth and (2) and have the research skills to find the information substantianting Mr. Olbermann's claim. Therin, I suspect, would lie the problem.

Mr. Olbermann is a welcome counter-point to Fox (news).

The carnival clown Keith Olbermann is a total disgrace. He has destroyed the once proud brand of NBC. His nightly regurgitation of lies and Marxist and Socialist rantings are pathetic. He is a coward to the highest degree, as is shown by his unwillingness to have anyone on his program other than the far FAR left who march in lock step to his drivel.

Go Olbermann. Go Msnbc. We need more commentators like Keith and more REAL news like MSNBC.

Greg B you sound like the right wing of the republican party. Instead of trying to dispute fact or logic you just rant about socialism and marxism and ism's in general. OOOHHHHH we need to all cower in fear of the boogy-man just because you say so.

Keith Olbermann is the only news I can watch, at least I feel it is done in good faith!

Is Olbermann still interviewing the same three people every night? He is such a coward.

Keith Olbermann is leans not towards the left, but towards the truth

Keith Olbermann is a breath of fresh air in the midst of the right wing spin machine that tries to convince us that black is white and up is down.
