Griffith Delegation Chair in Pri. Geo.

Del. Melony G. Griffith (D-Prince George's) has been elected chairman of Prince George's 23-member delegation to the House of Delegates. Griffith's colleagues chose her unanimously yesterday.

Griffith, who was elected to the House in 1998 and sits on the powerful House Appropriations Committee, said she hopes to use her intimate knowledge of the state's budget process to leverage funding for Prince George's in a tight economic times.

"Obviously, these are ridiculously difficult times in terms of the fiscal challenges facing the state," she said. "As a member of the appropriations committee, I will be positioned to represent Prince George's County on budget matters."

Melony Griffith is the hateful arrogant racist who got the late Jeb Bello fired and blacklisted in Annapolis. She ended up paying an undisclosed amount of money to settle his lawsuit against her.

Maybe that's the kind of leadership her colleagues want, but I am absolutely appalled by her selection and what it says about our shameless legislative delegation and their lack of judgment.
