Steele Again Clarifies His Position
Former Maryland lieutenant governor Michael Steele, the Republican National Committee chairman, is again trying to clarify a statement that angered some in his own party -- this time on abortion. Our colleague Chris Cillizza has the story in The Fix.

Besides being completely ideologically opposed to Michael Steele and disappointed at his past episodes of opportunism...I am beginning to think he is in over his head this time. At least in the past, he seemed to be competent ... at political dirty tricks and Fox News guest punditry.
I think the GOP would do well to give this man a way out, though I have not seen where they have someone better. Steele needs to get out of what has been a dirty game and try to find some redemption possibly saving what is left of his soul.
Just my opinion/advice.
