O'Malley Discusses Death Penalty on Maddow Show

Gov. Martin O'Malley (D) appeared last night on MSNBC's "The Rachel Maddow Show" to talk about Maryland's soon-to-be law that places some of the nation's tightest evidence standards on death penalty cases.

O'Malley, who sought a full repeal of the death penalty this session, touted the legislation as a step forward, making arguments familiar to those who followed the issue this year.

Maddow also seemed quite taken with O'Malley's Celtic rock band, O'Malley's March, which she pronounced "cool."

The segment can be seen on Maddow's Web site.
