Council Chairman Reilly Chosen for Arundel Senate Seat
The Anne Arundel County Republican Central Committee has chosen County Council Chairman Edward Reilly to replace retiring Sen. Janet Greenip (R), the Associated Press reports.
According to AP, the committee voted 8-5 tonight for Reilly, who owns the Reilly Insurance Agency in Crofton. The committee's choice will be sent to Gov. Martin O'Malley (D), who will officially make the appointment.
