Mikulski Has Ankle Surgery -- and Calls for Health Care Reform

Sen. Barbara Milulski (D-Md.) underwent surgery on her fractured ankle at Mercy Medical Center in Baltimore -- and used the occasion to score a point on the health care legislation debate. "I'm more committed than ever before to making sure that the kind of health care I'm getting now will be the model of care available to everyone," she said in a statement.

Mikulski broke her ankle in three places on July 19 while leaving a church in Baltimore.
