Ehrlich to Offer 'Pre-buttal' to Obama
What to make of this? The Republican National Committee has tapped former Maryland governor Robert L. Ehrlich Jr. (R) to give a "pre-buttal" Thursday to President Obama's health-care rally in College Park.
Ehrlich, who is contemplating a rematch next year with Gov. Martin O'Malley (D), is taking part in a 9:30 a.m. conference call with national reporters.
O'Malley, meanwhile, plans to be on hand at the University of Maryland to welcome Obama.
A preview of coming attractions in 2010?
Ehrlich has remained visible in the media since his 2006 loss, co-hosting a weekly Baltimore radio show with his wife, Kendel, and showing up on national TV from time to time. A decision about whether he'll run for governor again is not expected until the end of the year.
