There will soon be another set of eyes on Maryland government.

Len Lazarick, the former State House bureau chief of the now-defunct Baltimore Examiner, is launching, which promises both original reporting and links to stories by other media, starting late next month.

A skeletal version of the site advertises it as "a news website on state government and politics in Maryland to fill the gap created by the growing loss of State House coverage and to fill the public's need to know the workings of the government they pay for."

Lazarick, the venture's editor and publisher, tells us Andy Rosen of the Daily Record will also be on board next week.
