Del. Gilchrist makes the front page

Gilchrest Redskins.jpg

Followers of Maryland politics who picked up The Washington Post on Monday morning might have noticed a familiar face looking back at them from a front-page photo: that of Del. James W. Gilchrist (D-Montgomery).

Gilchrist wasn't featured for legislation he plans to introduce during the upcoming session in Annapolis. Nor had he done anything notable on the campaign trail.

Rather, he was simply sharing the misery of the Redskins final loss of the season. Gilchrist, who was identified in the photo only as "Redskins fan Jim Gilchrist," watched from Nellie's Sports Bar in the District in the photo by The Post's Sarah L. Voisin. Gilchrist is the guy on the left.
