General Assembly plans to resume Tuesday
The Maryland General Assembly plans to be back in business Tuesday morning after canceling floor sessions Monday night for the first time since 2003.
Both the House and Senate are scheduled to convene at 10 a.m., their regular meeting time on Tuesdays, according to an aide to the speaker. Afternoon committee meetings are also still on, despite a rather ominous forecast that another 10 inches or so of snow might fall starting Tuesday afternoon.
Crews were busy clearing away and hauling snow from around the State House and governor's mansion Monday afternoon. Surrounding roads and sidewalks remained pretty rough.
