Jackson offers jobs plan in Prince George's
County executive candidate Michael A. Jackson outlined a jobs plan Tuesday that he said would quickly put people back to work in Prince George's County, where the unemployment rate is among the region's highest.
The proposal includes tax credits, more low low-interest loans for small businesses, speeding up public works projects and eventually attracting more federal and state jobs to the county.
"Each individual part of this plan will have an effect on job creation and development in our county. Collectively, it could put thousands of Prince Georgians ... to work or back to work at only a small cost to the county," Jackson (D) said.
He said the proposal would cost about $1.2 million a year.

How is that possible when he has furloughed the entire Sheriff's Office for 160 hours, fired people with just 6 months to go until retirement and can't serve the warrants that are backed up to approximately 53,000.
