Baker seeks public's view on county spending plan

Prince George's County Executive Rushern L. Baker III (D) is holding the first of three budget hearings at 7 p.m. Thursday to get the public's ideas about the county's $2.7 billion spending plan.

Thursday' s session will be held at the Rennie Forum at Prince George's Community College, 301 Largo Rd. in Largo. The other hearings are at 7 p.m. Feb. 9 at Laurel High School, 9000 Cherry Lane, in Laurel; and 7 p.m. Feb. 17 at Harmony Hall, 10701 Livingston Rd., in Fort Washington.

To pre-register to speak at any of these events, you can contact the county executive's office via Facebook or by calling Ja'Net Lyons at 301-952-3261 or via e-mail at JLyons@co.pg.md.us. Speakers who do not sign up in advance will be allowed to speak at the sessions.
