Ann Telnaes is that you dressed in that Chicken suit? Ann you are such a brave and courageous soul. Ready to honestly tackle the most pressing issues of our present day instead of the Dog & Pony show of American Religion & Politics. Then again you are from Sweden and a member of that other group of which I will not publically mention. Cartoons are just for entertainment any how. The day I woke up and discovered that no one in this country has the right to privacy was the saddest day in my life. Be Brave Ann and forget about that paycheck you get and start to expose Big Brother and how they control you and everyone else in the media. What was that Pulitzer prize for again?

"Ground Zero" "Mosque"
---------------------
Not a Mosque.
Not at Ground Zero.
Not even a controversy until the usual right wing operatives started shrieking to their bigot base, and the corporate press stenographers dutifully wrote repeated their lying points.
For shame.

Bottom line:
In this instance, Reid, like the many Democrats who were AFRAID to vote against the Invasion of Iraq . . . is more concerned with his Senate seat than what is morally correct!

Reid is an idiot with no spine. The woman running against him is worse. Reid should retire as the majority leader and get a real leader to lead the Democrats.

You referred earlier to "Gingrich, Palin and the Anti-Defamation League oppose Ground Zero mosque."
---------------
I think it is deceptive to splice together Gingrich and Palin.
Gingrich compared Muslims to Nazis.
Palin by contrast APPEALED to peaceful Muslims.
These are as different as apples and coconuts.
The only reason for putting them together, and denying Palin credit for her mild statement is that you want to paint all Republicans by the same extremist brush.
This is an electoral strategy and not part of a pursuit of truth and understanding.

But Ms. Telnaes would still vote for Mr. Reid.

When Adolph Hitler and his very big gang demonized the Jews of Germany, he had broad support from the ordinary people of Germany.
A one year campaign of anti-Jewish propaganda in France in 1943-43 was effective enough that the Paris police insisted that they could round up the Jews of that city without the help of the Gestapo.
Few Parisians opposed the crime.
The United States with the help of its weak president is allowing many similar demonizations to happen in America today. Muslims, Mexicans, liberals, child soldiers, the list is long. There will be a price to pay, and the price will be steep.
It has already begun to be paid.

AT, Senator Reid sounds like a gutless wonder for his stance on the mosque in NYC. The age of the statesman is long dead and the rise of the expedient politician continues.

Ain't it the Truth? Perfect! Thanks!
The right wing nuts will undoubtedly see this cartoon as Liberal Bias against Bush. Geeze!
