It's so simple. Why doesn't David Brooks understand?

Democrats ran the justice system in the South in the 1950's. Powerful Democrat Senators Al Gore Sr. and William J. Fulbright, Bill Clinton's mentor, were staunch segregationists.

What if someone is actually controlling your speech? That is not Free Speech either. Isn't Justice also bought and paid for also here in America? Try and find Justice if you can not afford a really good attorney. Are not the Judges that rule over the highest courts appointed, not elected? It really begins with our Justice system and the enforcement of our laws beginning with the Constitution and all the way to the local level. Take for example the murder cases brought against the KKK in Mississippi and Alabama in the 60's. The murderers were allowed to walk away free men. The same type of thing is still occurring here in America today but because of undisclosed methods.

Put the Supreme Court Decision striking down the laws limiting corporate spending in elections with all of the other uncivilized decisions that the uber-politicised American Supreme Court has handed down over the years. Support for capital punishment, anti-civil rights, counter-productive electoral, drug and gun laws, protection of the executive branch from investigations, The list goes on.
It is so often a court of inhumanity, that the stomach sickens. The spirit of the infamous Justice Taney, who wrote the 1847 Dredd Scott decision upholding the legal basis of slavery lives on in a triumphal brutality shared by too many Americans.

Money speaks very loud and clear. The more money given to politicians the more is expected from them. The old adage he who has the gold rules, is so true in politics. Elections are very expensive and politicians life blood comes from money raised. To not do what a contributor expects from them will end their political career real fast!

The left wing has NO PROBLEM with money from unions, from Holywood, from the "Move On" type organizations. The only money they don't like is conservative money.
There is a term that describes the leht wing - "HYPOCRITES".

@jornolibist, if it's too complicated and nuanced for you to understand that more money buys more opportunity to speak in more venues and louder, then maybe you aren't qualified to post here.

Right about ONE thing, JORNOLIBIST . . .
". . . liberalism is complicated . . ."

Whereas Conservatism is simple(minded) and bought and paid for by amoral charlatans, like the Chamber of Commerce and the Koch Bros. white trash.

So guess people don't need to use money to buy the paper, pen, computer and drawing board? Just like you getting paid money to exercise your speech to tell others what is and isn't speech. Sort of silly don't you think Ann, but liberalism is so complicated and nuisanced.
